A single chapter asking for recommendation votes.

It’s been a week since this book launched. So far, thanks to the booklists, its performance has been decent (at least in my own view). It can’t compare with those written by masters, but it’s already so much better than my previous work.

Of course, what I write has its flaws—awkward prose, clumsy dialogue—these are issues many readers have pointed out to me, and I’ve made efforts to correct them one by one. I truly believe the future holds promise, and my writing will continue to improve.

Today, I ended up dropping three books, each around 120,000 words. Why? Because even after getting recommended, not a single one of them ever surpassed 200 saves. It was simply too disheartening, so I had to let them go.

Eventually, I came to realize that without a clear concept, writing a novel is nothing but a dead end. That’s why, for this book, I created an outline, a detailed plan, and a full set of settings.

One week after publishing, with 27,000 words and 222 saves—not a huge number, but it fills me with joy. With my goals set, this result is pretty decent for a newcomer, so I’ve grown more ambitious.
