Seeing the two standing frozen, contract in hand, Wang Keyue was puzzled.

“What’s wrong? Unwilling?” Wang Keyue raised her white eyebrows and asked in a low voice.

“No, no, no! We’re very willing, very willing! It’s just that some of our women are still in exile, their whereabouts unknown…” Wang Shuyuan and Wang Jinfeng hurriedly replied, afraid the other might back out.

Of course, they did not forget to mention their current biggest concern. They believed that this immortal senior in front of them was definitely capable of solving this problem.

“Alright, that’s no problem at all! I’ll arrange for someone to investigate!” Wang Keyue’s previous grievances had already faded when she learned the true purpose of the cheap father and his group’s visit. Cheap Father was not the kind of ingrate who would flee in times of trouble, so she decided to show them more mercy.

Only then did Wang Jinfeng and Wang Shuyuan have the leisure to carefully examine the contract. Wow! Both were stunned!

What? It covered three meals a day, seasonal clothing, accommodations and travel, year-end bonuses, rewards for completing temporary tasks, overtime pay... This treatment was too good!

The two exchanged glances and eagerly signed their names, stamping their fingerprints.

“I won’t issue separate contracts for your subordinates. I’ll just halve what you two have on the basis of your contracts. How about that?” Wang Keyue said.

“Thank you, immortal senior. Our rough men are just grateful to have food, nothing else needed! Really!” Wang Jinfeng chuckled in response.

The white-haired elder before him increasingly resembled his own family’s ancestor.

“Enough, they’re part of the sect from now on and must not be mistreated. That’s settled! You bring this out for them to sign. If anyone refuses, then part ways amicably!” Wang Keyue stroked her white beard and said.

“Yes, yes, everything will be done according to the senior’s wishes. Don’t worry, we’ll go right away,” Wang Shuyuan said with a fawning smile, feeling the elder before him was as kindly as his own grandmother. Unconsciously, his tone was filled with the indulgence one shows to an elderly mother.

Wang Keyue was so watched that she broke out in goosebumps. Her only thought now was to quickly package these two cheap relatives and send them before Madam Wang, so she could finally relax.

Before long, amid their awkward chatter, Wang Shuyuan brought in the signed contracts, his face full of joy, unable to hide it. “Senior, senior, we have all signed. The Wang clan’s forty-eight members are willing to live in the sect.”

Wang Keyue was very pleased. Taking the contracts, she saw the blank parts filled with densely written, crooked names and red fingerprints.

“When I led my men to flee, I rescued eight women and three children from the barbarians. Some of these women have married my men now and become family.

The remaining forty are men, but fifteen are seriously injured, and one is unconscious…” Wang Shuyuan explained.

“The unconscious one is my son. Although he didn’t sign the contract himself, I have already signed for him, so please don’t worry, senior,” Wang Jinfeng added.

Wang Keyue recalled the scene when she saw the original owner’s eldest brother yesterday—the pale face, frail body—instantly appearing in her mind.

“Take me to see him!” Whether it was her own or the original owner’s feelings, she felt compassion for that boy.

Wang Shuyuan and Wang Jinfeng were amazed and deeply honored. Wang Jinfeng, a tall and burly man, was moved to tears in an instant.

The Wang family was now sparse, and the eldest son lying on the sickbed, his fate uncertain, was the only surviving male of his branch—and a legitimate heir at that. For the entire Wang clan, he was a treasure.

Wang Jinfeng, overwhelmed with emotion, was about to kneel and thank the immortal senior before him, but was swiftly pulled back by the quick-eyed and quick-handed Xiao Hongyu.

“Master dislikes such formalities. Just lead the way quickly. Saving lives is the priority!” Xiao Hongyu’s words were sensible and heartfelt, making the two brothers feel a warm closeness as they hurried ahead.

In a nearby thatched hut was a small wooden bed covered with animal pelts. The boy lying there was pale as a sheet, completely bloodless. His thick black sword-like eyebrows were tightly furrowed, as if enduring great pain.

The boy was thin and frail, lying on the pelts, the contrast stark.

Wang Keyue felt pity for the boy, who was only about sixteen or seventeen. In the original world, he would have been a middle school student, but here, he was a true warrior bearing heavy responsibilities, having faced life and death.

Without hesitation, Wang Keyue took his pulse. It was weak and faint, with signs of blood loss and deficiency. Her expression turned serious.

Indeed, the boy was severely bleeding. Worse still, he showed signs of internal bleeding.

Not daring to delay, Wang Keyue called for Xiaobao to retrieve the medicine she had bought earlier from her space. She instructed someone to bring a small bowl of warm water, then crushed the medicine into powder and dissolved it in the water.

She then took out a slender silver needle and directly pierced the Baihui, Yintang, and Fengchi acupoints. Sure enough, the boy on the bed slowly began to awaken. Wang Keyue hurriedly instructed Wang Shuyuan to feed him the medicine.

Though awake, the boy’s consciousness was still foggy. He vaguely recognized the people before him as family and lowered his guard, obediently drinking the medicine. Everyone’s heavy hearts finally eased a little.

Next, Wang Keyue examined the wounds. The most severe was on the head. She lifted the dirty, ragged cloth wrapped around it and felt heavy-hearted seeing the filthy bandages.

Sure enough, the head wound was not scabbed but oozing blood. The surrounding skin was pale and pus-filled, a severe infection. Without prompt treatment, the boy would likely not survive.

Wang Keyue took out her sterilization tools and medical supplies. After disinfecting, injecting, and applying medicine, she sprayed a newly purchased rapid wound repair solution on the injury. The gaping wound gradually closed at a visibly rapid pace. Within the time of a tea break, it had healed into a pale pink scar.

All who witnessed such immortal-like techniques were amazed. They envied the divine medicine in Wang Keyue’s hands—it was said to resurrect the dead and restore flesh to bones!

Yet, despite their envy, they remained rational. Wang Keyue noticed the two men staring intently at the healing solution in her hand and almost smiled.

“This is a repair solution that quickly heals wounds and stops bleeding,” she explained, demonstrating again for them. Then, she handed the bottle to Wang Jinfeng.

“You can keep the remaining medicine,” Wang Keyue said.

-----Author’s Note-----

Very few people read this book; it’s not doing well. Probably because I write poorly and no one wants to read it! I also feel I lack writing talent and am conflicted about whether I can persist with the next book after this one ends. Sigh!
