Lin Yang flew tirelessly, even engaging in a battle halfway through. Although his regenerative abilities were exceptional, the sea surface was rich only in water-element spiritual energy. Thus, he had to convert it into the Five Elements’ spiritual energy, which took considerable time. By the time he reached Greenwave Island, he still had two-thirds of his spiritual energy left—his fastest usage to date.

Passing through the outer lands and numerous satellite cities, Lin Yang headed straight to Greenwave City at the island’s center. Despite its name, Greenwave City had no walls; it was entirely the domain of cultivators.

Upon arrival, Lin Yang was no longer arrogant; he descended after flying into the city. “Senior, I have brought you to Greenwave City. May I take my leave now?” Ouyang Shou had initially hoped to latch onto such a powerful figure, but after witnessing Lin Yang’s fierce combat, he lost that ambition. In the presence of such a decisive and ruthless person, it was wiser not to scheme, lest it backfire and cause resentment.

“Alright, you may leave. Here, take this,” Lin Yang said. He had intended for Ouyang Shou to act as his guide, but after hearing his farewell, he tossed him a bottle of pills.

“Thank you, senior,” Ouyang Shou replied briskly, taking the pill and departing without further words, his demeanor brisk and efficient.

Lin Yang found Ouyang Shou somewhat aloof, but unknown to him, the man’s vest was already soaked with sweat. He had seen the enormous octopus skin lying on the sea surface earlier and feared that Lin Yang might kill him afterward to silence him. Upon returning, he even burned all his clothes.

Lin Yang’s earlier action was pure demonic cultivation—absorbing another’s essence. Yet Lin Yang cared little; no one would fight for a monster’s justice.

Meanwhile, the demonic blade Lin Yang wielded absorbed a vast amount of essence, growing slightly larger, though so minutely that Lin Yang did not even notice.

Walking through this azure world, surrounded by vibrant young men and women, Lin Yang saw that most wore blue or shades of it, adding unique charm to the city.

He strolled along the main street toward the tallest building at the city’s heart. The signboard read “Water Spirit Trading Pavilion,” clearly constructed by the Water family.

Lin Yang leisurely approached, buying up all sorts of curious herbs and magical tools. After collecting these oddities, he went to the central plaza where a Celestial Ascension stage cultivator was presiding over stalls.

Many Foundation Establishment cultivators were vending here, and the passersby were also of considerable cultivation. He sensed at least four or five Celestial Ascension cultivators amidst thousands of Foundation Establishment practitioners. It seemed a grand festival was underway, drawing so many cultivators together.

Curious, Lin Yang wove through the crowd. The Celestial Ascension cultivator at the center noticed him immediately—a black shadow in an otherwise empty space was truly eye-catching.

The cultivator turned to look at Lin Yang, who met her gaze. From her eyes, Lin Yang understood her intention and nodded in acknowledgment, signaling he meant no trouble.

The cultivator nodded back, intrigued, and rose to approach him.

Lin Yang thought the matter was settled and returned to browsing the goods, but the female cultivator tapped him on the shoulder from behind. Nearby Foundation Establishment cultivators parted to make way.

“You are not from the Chaos Star Sea,” the young woman in simple blue robes said directly. Though a Celestial Ascension cultivator, she appeared very young with a delicate, almost water-like complexion—perhaps a gift of living by the sea.

Intrigued, Lin Yang turned to ask, “How do you know that?”

“It’s simple. You lack the persistent sea-salt scent of those who live by the ocean. Instead, your aura carries the heavy, earthy presence typical of those from the continent opposite the Endless Sea,” she explained.

“I see. I am Lin Yang. May I ask your name?”

“I am Shui Miaor, but you may call me Daoist Shui,” she replied.

“I have some questions for you,” Lin Yang said, remembering he needed information about the teleportation array to reach Star Island.

“Oh, you wish to visit the Star Palace? Our clan’s ancestor is from the Star Palace. The teleportation array is within our family grounds. It costs ten spirit stones per teleport, but you must wait until a group is assembled. If you want a private teleport, it costs five thousand spirit stones. The array operates once daily,” Shui Miaor explained.

“Hear that? Take us up,” Lin Yang said.

“Yes, right away.” The attendant led them to the top floor, the highest point in the tower, surrounded by transparent formations offering a panoramic view.

The space was ample—ten zhang wide and square-shaped. Several maidservants had already set two tables for them, placing various fresh flowers and fruits, and lighting a refreshing incense.

After ushering them in, the attendant excused himself and went to expedite the kitchen’s preparations.

As they sat, Lin Yang eagerly asked again, “How did you discern that I am not from the Chaos Star Sea?”

“It’s quite simple. You lack the constant oceanic scent typical of sea dwellers. Instead, your aura carries the dense, earthy weight of those from the continent across the Endless Sea,” Shui Miaor reiterated.

“Understood. I am Lin Yang. And you are Shui Miaor, or Daoist Shui.”

“Yes, that is me. What would you like to know?”

Lin Yang leaned in, ready to inquire further about the teleportation array and other matters in this vibrant blue city nestled by the endless sea.
