Chapter 96: Music Video Filming

After failing to convince Director Zhang, Kris could only return honestly to the set. As he walked, he kept hypnotizing himself that he was now two years younger than Krystal, not the old version of himself, so there was no need to overthink anything.

“ Kris, what did you say to the director earlier? Why does he look so happy?” Seeing Kris return with a gloomy expression for the first time, Krystal suddenly became curious and hurried over.

“ Cough cough cough, you two, pay attention to your surroundings!” Noticing Kris’s face, Cui knew he was hiding something and deliberately coughed lightly to remind them to stay alert while also helping him out.

Before she spoke, however, she secretly snapped a photo of Krystal acting spoiled toward Kris, planning to use it later to take credit with Chen Yuxi while teasing some otaku.

Reminded by Cui, Krystal’s arm-shaking froze instantly, then she quickly let go. Both of them looked around with panic in their eyes. When they saw no one noticing, they both patted their chests in relief.

“ Kris, Krystal, you two, get ready. We’re shooting this scene again!” Just as they relaxed, Director Zhang’s voice rang from behind, startling them once more.

“ You two look like you’ve seen a ghost. Do I look that much like one?” Watching their startled faces, Zhang rubbed his chin and started doubting his own appearance.

“ No, no, Director, you look very handsome. How could you resemble a ghost? You look just like Senior Andy Lau.” Hearing Zhang’s words, Kris and Krystal snapped back to reality. They waved their hands repeatedly and praised his appearance together, comparing him to handsome celebrities.

“ Haha, I feel I’m similar to Andy Lau too, but I like people saying I look like Andy Lau even more! Alright, let’s not talk about that. You two, get ready—we’ll shoot this scene again and try to finish it quickly!”

Kris and Krystal’s praise made Zhang pleased. He smiled and patted Kris’s shoulder, his tone softening. After giving them a few more reminders, he turned satisfiedly toward the crew.

“ I didn’t expect the director to be a fan of Andy Lau!” Watching Zhang walk with lighter steps, Kris rubbed his chin and sighed. Old Hong Kong stars still have fans overseas.

“ You mean Senior Andy Lau? I grew up watching his movies with my dad. He’s handsome and his acting is perfect—he’s the ideal male lead. But my dad likes martial arts stars like Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan more.”

Hearing Kris’s sigh, Krystal beside him nodded repeatedly, agreeing.

Starting the shoot again, Kris moved more naturally, and the footage was far better than before.

But the kiss scene with the female lead kept NGing several times. Every unexpected mistake during the take forced them to reshoot.

Watching Kris film the kiss with Krystal, Cui couldn’t resist pulling out her phone again to capture the NG clips.

“ Cut, perfect, that one’s good! You all did wonderfully!” Under Zhang’s applause, the female lead kiss scene finally wrapped. Only easy small shots remained.

The two being teased flushed even deeper, heads lowered further.
