Fang Zhiyin had already fled the scene as soon as the music stopped. From a distance, she happened to see Ouyang Junyan turn his head... Had he spotted her? Fang Zhiyin was stunned.

Half a minute later, Ouyang Junyan really sent her a message: “Big sister, are you at the Starry Sky Amusement Park too?”

Fang Zhiyin was taken aback.

Unexpectedly, he sent another message: “I want to ask, which attractions are best for taking a girl out?”

Classmate Ouyang, you really don’t treat me like an outsider!

“I think the roller coaster is a good choice; the two of you might even get closer.” Fang Zhiyin had just returned from an adventure program, and no longer felt as afraid of heights—at least, she believed so. She gritted her teeth and replied.

She wouldn’t forget that thirty-five-year-old Ouyang Junyan had gone bungee jumping with her in Nepal just a few days ago!

She never expected he’d actually drag Lin Nana off to queue beneath the roller coaster!

Had he become so trusting of others? Or was it because it was her suggestion—because it was Fang Zhiyin who told him—so even if he doubted, he was willing to give it a try?

Fang Zhiyin, do you have too many inner dramas? She quickly dismissed the thought.

In truth, the only reason Ouyang Junyan listened was because Fang Zhiyin had told him.

When Lin Nana heard he wanted to ride the roller coaster, she was a little surprised. “Do you like it?” Unlike Ouyang Junyan, Lin Nana had always been pampered, a little princess who had visited amusement parks many times and naturally ridden roller coasters, though she wouldn’t choose them without a reason.

“Mm, I want to ride it with you.” Ouyang Junyan spoke with the solemnity and sincerity of a confession.

Lin Nana’s heart gave a sudden thump, moved by his genuineness.

The two queued together, and Fang Zhiyin stood five or six people behind them.

She felt she was insane: following along while others went on a date? Was she so idle?

Oh! She remembered—she was his guardian!

Queuing took nearly an hour.

Ouyang Junyan and Lin Nana got on, and Fang Zhiyin feared she might miss their ride; she thought she’d have to wait for the next turn, but a seat was left vacant, and she quickly filled it.

She ended up seated directly behind the two.

The roller coaster started moving, and passengers began making all sorts of noises. Ouyang Junyan was terrified, but even more attuned to Lin Nana’s fear beside him, so he mustered his courage and boldly took her hand. “Don’t be afraid, I’m here with you.”

Lin Nana nodded, not pulling her hand away.

In the back row, Fang Zhiyin’s heart ached again.

The roller coaster slid forward, at first very slowly. When it reached the first peak, Fang Zhiyin was afraid to look, instinctively shutting her eyes.

Passengers in front already began to scream.

The next moment, the roller coaster soared into midair!

“Ah!!”

Fang Zhiyin screamed with all her might.

But soon, she heard another scream from the front—Ouyang Junyan’s?!

“Ah!!” It was unmistakably Ouyang Junyan’s voice: “I want to go home! I want to get off!!”

Someone in the back couldn’t help but laugh.

This guy, whether eighteen or thirty-five, was equally terrified of extreme rides!

Lin Nana, however, didn’t scream. She started out holding Ouyang Junyan’s hand, but somewhere along the ride, their hands slipped apart.

In Ouyang Junyan’s mind, how was this roller coaster so different from what he imagined? Wasn’t it usually the boy’s job to hold the girl’s hand, to give her courage?

How could he be the one screaming nonstop? How embarrassing!

He’d thought Lin Nana would be scared, that the ride would draw them closer—perhaps even some physical contact!

“Nana, just let it out!” In the later half, Ouyang Junyan croaked encouragement, “It’s okay to scream!”

“I’m not afraid.” Lin Nana looked at him innocently.

Oh, sorry to bother you. He quickly turned his face away, his features twisted by the force of the ride.

But Fang Zhiyin was still afraid.

Through several turns, she kept screaming at her seat. Only when the roller coaster finally slowed to a stop did she regain her composure.

Once off, Ouyang Junyan dashed to the restroom and vomited until he was dizzy.

Lin Nana waited outside for quite a while, then went to buy water at the nearby shop.

Unexpectedly, Fang Zhiyin rushed into the women’s restroom and began vomiting as well.

Afterward, the two emerged at the same time and bumped into each other.

Their eyes met, both faces pale, unable to hide their misery and embarrassment.

“Big sister, I really wasn’t seeing things just now,” Ouyang Junyan was the first to speak. “Did you come to the amusement park alone?”

“Why? Is that not allowed?” Fang Zhiyin forced a smile. “Looks like we even ended up on the same roller coaster.”

“What a coincidence!”

He truly believed seeing Fang Zhiyin was an accident.

Fang Zhiyin, knowing her place, slipped away before Lin Nana returned.

Lin Nana came back with two bottles of water, seeing Ouyang Junyan lost in thought. “Ouyang, are you still feeling unwell? Maybe you should rest somewhere?”

“I’m fine…” For a moment, he didn’t know what was wrong with him—was it the aftereffects of the roller coaster, or was it seeing Fang Zhiyin here so unexpectedly?

Was big sister here alone? Why would she choose this place? Was she feeling down?

His mind was flooded with questions, none of which he could answer.

“It’s okay, we just won’t do anything too exciting anymore.” He forced a smile, not wanting Lin Nana to think he was a coward.

“Sure! No more thrill rides, let’s go on the Ferris wheel!” Lin Nana genuinely loved the Ferris wheel, her whole face aglow.

Ferris wheel?

So high…

Eighteen-year-old Ouyang Junyan didn’t realize his fear of heights was so severe—a roller coaster nearly cost him half his life, and now he was about to queue for the Ferris wheel at Lin Nana’s suggestion.

He couldn’t imagine how he’d cope once he was up there.

But Lin Nana seemed happiest with this choice, her face radiant with excitement. While queuing, some bolder boys tried to chat with her, but she always looked first to Ouyang Junyan, sending them away awkwardly.

If… he truly ended up with Lin Nana someday, became her boyfriend, he’d surely receive many blessings.

They weren’t even anything to each other yet, but Ouyang Junyan was already imagining all sorts of scenarios that hadn’t happened.

Elsewhere, Fang Zhiyin queued behind them.

Bored, she gazed at the Ferris wheel—it was said to be the ultimate symbol of happiness.

Watching her own husband date a young girl, circling around them for half the day… She wondered, where was her own happiness?
