“No,” Fang Zhiyin quickly regained her composure, her face resolute. “No matter how many times you ask me this question, my answer will always be the same.”

Ouyang Junyan, thirty-five years old, might not realize that Fang Zhiyin has loved only one man her entire life—and that man is Ouyang Junyan himself.

Life is not a romantic drama; persistent devotion does not always bring the reward one hopes for.

Yet who could have foreseen that, just as she resolved to let go, Ouyang Junyan would suddenly fall ill?

The heavens seem to delight in playing tricks on mere mortals.

Ouyang Junyan’s fever broke after a few hours, and Fang Zhiyin rescheduled their flight to return early the next morning.

“Are you in such a hurry to go back?” Ouyang Junyan still couldn’t help suspecting that Fang Zhiyin’s eagerness meant she wanted to meet another man.

Fang Zhiyin saw through his thoughts at a glance, annoyed and speechless. “Believe what you want—I have many things to take care of! There’s no need for me to stay in Nepal with you forever, is there?”

“Are you afraid of me?” After a long silence, Ouyang Junyan asked in a strained voice.

“You’re a domineering CEO—being alone with you is indeed a lot of pressure,” Fang Zhiyin replied honestly. In front of him, she had nothing to hide.

She expected Ouyang Junyan to retort, to start another quarrel, but after hearing her words, he only lowered his eyes in silence, like a child who’d done something wrong.

Fang Zhiyin found his reticence odd, but didn’t ask further.

She simply didn’t want to speak too much with him.

The next morning, the two boarded a plane together and left Nepal.

Upon returning home, Fang Zhiyin barely had half a day to rest before eighteen-year-old Ouyang Junyan showed up again.

He had slicked his hair back in a style far too mature for his age, dressed in a suit that made him look like a child playing dress-up in adult clothes.

“What are you up to?”

“I… It’s the weekend. I’m meeting someone at the amusement park!” Ouyang Junyan didn’t want to elaborate.

“You!” Fang Zhiyin was furious. “You’re going with Lin Nana, aren’t you?”

Ouyang Junyan didn’t answer; he turned and ran out.

…What a handful!

Fang Zhiyin couldn’t help worrying about eighteen-year-old Ouyang Junyan. She didn’t know which amusement park they were going to, but it wasn’t hard to figure out—she’d followed Lin Nana’s social media and, sure enough, saw a post from ten minutes ago showing her outfit for the day, a cute pink dress. In the caption, she mentioned she was heading to Starry Sky Amusement Park.

Fang Zhiyin immediately hailed a car to the amusement park.

Today, she was certain Lin Nana was very interested in Ouyang Junyan. Whether she or Ouyang initiated the invitation, the fact that she always showed up proved she cared.

The thought left Fang Zhiyin with a faint sense of discomfort.

Forty minutes later, she arrived at the amusement park.

Stepping inside, she saw the faces of children and adults alike brimming with happiness. Watching them, she felt a twinge of envy.

Born with a silver spoon, yet her relationship with her parents had always been distant—she’d never visited a place like this with them.

She realized she’d never come here with Ouyang Junyan either.

And now, “Ouyang Junyan” was spending the day here with another girl!

Fang Zhiyin searched for Ouyang Junyan and Lin Nana, and after some time, she actually spotted them.

“I haven’t been to an amusement park in years. This place really feels so happy!” Lin Nana’s voice rang out.

Ouyang Junyan scratched his head shyly. “Yeah! It’s my first time here. My parents never brought me.”

“Really? Why…” Lin Nana looked at him with genuine concern. “Ouyang, do you not get along with your uncle and aunt?”

“Mm.” Ouyang Junyan had nothing to hide from Lin Nana, nodding gently. “But it’s okay! Coming here with you is just as good!”

Lin Nana smiled sweetly.

“How about we try the carousel first?” she asked.

Fang Zhiyin followed them openly for a while (the pair didn’t notice they were being followed). To her astonishment, their first stop was the carousel. Fang Zhiyin was thoroughly confused.

“Of course! Whatever you want to ride, I’ll go with you,” Ouyang Junyan replied obediently.

Fang Zhiyin followed them to the carousel.

Lin Nana climbed onto a pink horse, and Ouyang Junyan sat on a large wooden horse right behind her.

Fang Zhiyin took sunglasses from her bag, put them on, and mounted a brown horse two or three spots away from them.

Truth be told, this was her first time at an amusement park, and her first time on a carousel.

After a bit of fumbling, she still hadn’t managed to get onto that brown horse.

“Miss, what are you waiting for? Hurry up!” Just then, the music started, signaling the carousel was about to spin. A friendly tourist urged her.

Sir! I want to get on too!

Ouyang Junyan seemed to hear something behind him and instinctively turned to look. Fang Zhiyin, fearing he’d spot her, quickly jumped onto the horse.

Then the music began.

The carousel started to spin.

Ouyang Junyan’s attention was quickly drawn back to Lin Nana. She had dressed carefully today, looking sweet and lovely, and with the carousel’s childlike, romantic atmosphere, it seemed only right to take hundreds of photos of her.

The next moment, he pulled out his phone, switched to camera mode, and took several pictures. Then he filmed a short video.

In his lens, Lin Nana’s smile was radiant, beautiful as a fairy straight out of a comic book.

Behind them, Fang Zhiyin witnessed the entire scene. She knew this Ouyang Junyan wasn’t the real one. No matter what he said or did, as someone nearly ten years older than this persona, she should be able to shrug it off, not take it to heart.

Yet each time she saw such moments, something stirred inside her. She wasn’t strong enough to be indifferent to scenes like these.

After a round of the carousel, Ouyang Junyan suddenly turned around, as if he’d spotted a familiar figure.

“Ouyang! Thank you!” Lin Nana suddenly spoke again, her gratitude accompanied by a dazzling smile.

Ouyang Junyan smiled and nodded at her. When he turned back again, the figure on the brown horse was gone.

Who was that? Ouyang Junyan frowned slightly.

“Ouyang, what else do you like to play?” After leaving the carousel, Lin Nana asked him warmly, “Let’s try something you like!”

Ouyang Junyan’s cheeks flushed. It was his first time in such a place, and with romance just budding in his heart, he truly hadn’t considered what activities would be best to do with a girl he liked.
