With the satellite antennas ready to handle the explosives, Mo Shu and Wang Yu returned to the office to rest and adjust.

Most of the spectators had also retreated indoors, and the organizing committee's staff could finally breathe a sigh of relief.

As the night slowly deepened, Wang Yu, who had been in a deep sleep for a long time, was awakened by a sudden urge to use the restroom.

He crawled up from the sofa, groping his way through the dark toward the restroom, only to find that the makeshift bedding where Mo Shu had been sleeping was completely empty.

It's so late, where could he have gone? Wang Yu thought to himself.

Although the office was fairly spacious, it was still within a single glance's range.

Unable to find Mo Shu in the office, Wang Yu had no choice but to check the hallway.

The hallway here was long, narrow, and without turns. As soon as he stepped outside, Wang Yu spotted a painfully familiar figure standing rigidly in front of the window at the western end.

"Mo Shu?" Wang Yu called out softly.

Yet Mo Shu seemed completely oblivious, continuing to stand in a daze, gazing out the ink-black window.

"Why aren't you resting yet? What are you doing?" Wang Yu muttered drowsily with a hint of complaint. If he didn't sleep in the middle of the night, how would he have the energy to face Guan Mie tomorrow?

After calling out twice with no response, Mo Shu ignored him entirely, prompting Wang Yu to walk forward and lightly tap Mo Shu on the arm.

That single tap scared Wang Yu out of his wits.

Mo Shu's lips were purple, his gaze hollow, his entire body ice-cold, and his limbs stiff—he looked precisely like a corpse that had lost its life, the only difference being that he hadn't fallen over.

No way, is he dead? Wang Yu certainly didn't wish to use the word "dead" to curse Mo Shu, but what else could possibly explain the scene before him?

Suddenly, a wave of scorching, stinging pain shot through Wang Yu's fingers and rapidly spread across his entire body. Pain plunged his vision into pitch black, and he instantly passed out.

He had no idea how much time had passed before Wang Yu regained consciousness.

His whole body ached, his limbs felt weak and powerless, and he felt as though he had been hit by some cheap, disreputable paralyzing poison from a martial arts novel.

"Damn it, feels like I've died once," Wang Yu muttered, rubbing his temples.

Wait? Where was Mo Shu?

Feeling slightly better, Wang Yu suddenly remembered his recent encounter and quickly raised his head to look around.

"Old Wang, why did you touch me just now?" A familiar voice rang out from behind. It seemed Mo Shu was safe and sound.

"Big brother, you scared me to death," Wang Yu said, turning back with a heart full of grievances.

"Holy crap!" A pair of eyes swirling with purple brilliance startled Wang Yu all over again. Once he confirmed it really was Mo Shu, he anxiously asked, "What is wrong with your eyes?"

Mo Shu chuckled, blinking hard, and the purple brilliance instantly vanished. He first helped Wang Yu to his feet before explaining with a smile.

"I've already settled the final step of the battle plan. Don't worry about the rest."

Wang Yu's brow furrowed tightly, and he almost began to complain again about Mo Shu constantly keeping secrets from him.

Yet he noticed Mo Shu's expression was unusually serious and resolute. Wang Yu sighed, knowing he wouldn't be able to get any real answers out of him.

"Fine, be extremely careful tomorrow, and make sure you come back in one piece."

Thinking of the two previous Heavenly Venerates who had inexplicably lost contact, and Ai Chixiang reduced to looking like a mummy, Wang Yu still felt rather uneasy inside.

"Don't worry, there shouldn't be any problems!"

"No! There are no 'shoulds', it's a must! It must be completely fine!"

"Alright, alright, it must be."

"Yeah, that's more like it." Wang Yu nodded. "It's still late at night. I suggest you get some rest, or you won't have enough energy tomorrow."

"Of course, now that the big problem is solved, I can sleep a bit more soundly."

"Well then, good night?"

"Night~"

......

......

......

"Who's there? Everyone get out here!!!"

Just as the sky began to show a pale fish-belly white, Guan Mie's obnoxious voice echoed through every corner of Cloud Peak.

Because of yesterday's bomb threat, the spectators naturally didn't dare to neglect it.

However, Mo Shu, suffering from a lack of rest and fond of sleeping in, certainly wouldn't have heard it. If Wang Yu hadn't pushed him awake, Guan Mie, in a fit of rage at not seeing anyone, might have blown up the explosives altogether.

"So early? Is everyone here yet?" Mo Shu complained, rubbing his sleep-heavy eyes.

"You're the only one left, hurry up, big brother!" Wang Yu said as he handed Mo Shu his clothes, giving off the uncanny vibe of an overbearing mother.

"Are those three here too?" Mo Shu looked around.

"Not just the three of them, all three Heavenly Venerates have arrived." Wang Yu heavily emphasized the words "Heavenly Venerate."

Important figures actually got up this early?! A wave of inexplicable respect rose in Mo Shu's heart, and he involuntarily quickened his pace.

Dressed and ready, the two hurried down to the entrance of the central track plaza, only to find the spectator stands packed with a sea of people once again.

Though people in the stands were yawning continuously, and many female spectators who hadn't rested well had disheveled hair, the arrival of the Heavenly Venerates at least brought a shred of reassurance to everyone's hearts.

Coupled with the fact that the "Four Major Gods" of the Divine Racing Team had also fully appeared, it actually made people feel that Guan Mie's stunt carried a hint of self-destruction.

Three Heavenly Venerates, four major gods—just shouting out their titles was impressive enough.

Yet seeing them in person elevated the visual experience far beyond mere auditory perception.

Any one of these individuals, based solely on their aura, naturally inspired a sense of awe. Let alone becoming their opponent; one's heart would probably leap right out of one's throat from sheer nervousness.

When his own turn came to take the stage, Mo Shu unexpectedly grew nervous for the first time in his life.

He had thought the downhill race was a failure, but never expected to still be the center of attention, deciding the outcome on the racetrack once again. The aversion he felt toward their illegal detention instantly diminished quite a bit.

Mo Shu straightened his collar, took large strides toward the center of the plaza, and the spectator stands immediately erupted into waves of cheers.

Aside from himself, the other six individuals were already lined up in a row in the center of the plaza.

Guan Mie and his two sons had shamelessly occupied the lofty champion podium.

What good is taking the stage in advance? The one who laughs last is the king! Mo Shu glared at the three figures on the high platform, feeling a silent wave of disdain.

"Guan Mie! Give me the microphone!" Mo Shu commanded.

"Heh, still talking big, I'll let you suffer a crushing defeat in a moment." Guan Mie glanced sideways, and a subordinate dressed in black immediately brought a microphone over to Mo Shu.

Mo Shu took the microphone, first turned to nod and pay respects to the six individuals, and then began to speak.

"My friends here, you suffered yesterday. For that, please allow me to represent the tournament organizing committee in offering an apology to everyone!"

With that, Mo Shu bowed separately toward every direction of the stands to apologize, and then continued.

"Since yesterday afternoon, all of us have been detained by this despicable villain Guan Mie, which also caused the Cloud Peak Downhill Race to be suspended until now.

However, I want to tell you all that the Cloud Peak race will not grind to a halt because of this. As you can see, our friends and comrades have rushed over through the night to take on Guan Mie's challenge.

Things having reached this point, I, Mo Shu, no longer dare to hope that you can all enjoy the race with a cheerful mood.

Yet since you are here, and since you cannot leave anyway, why not cheer up, sweep away the gloom for a moment, and look forward together to the ultimate showdown brought to you by the Heavenly Venerates of the Six Realms and the Four Major Gods!"

Mo Shu's words grew increasingly impassioned and stirring, undoubtedly serving as an effective and timely shot of adrenaline for the audience at the scene.

The moment his voice fell, another wave of mountain-shaking cheers erupted at the scene, echoing back and forth across the winding valleys in overlapping layers.

"A race should look like a race. I will hand the microphone over to the on-site commentator, who will introduce and narrate today's race according to tradition."

"Great!! Motorsports will never die!!!"

"Woohoo, God Mo is mighty, God Mo is domineering!!!"
