Chapter 134: The Hotel Incident

Su Tong hurried back to his room, as the Little Devil had finally broken out of its shell after evolving for several days.

"Cackle, the Great Demon King has been resurrected!" The Little Devil appeared in Su Tong’s room, flapping its fleshy wings in mid-air and flashing an evil grin.

"Little Devil, you’ve finally woken up! I thought you were a goner, haha!" Su Tong laughed. Having not seen the little imp for a few days, he had actually missed it.

The Little Devil looked excited. "How could I dare to perish before you do? Heh heh..." It zipped around the room, though only Su Tong could see it; ordinary people were blind to its presence.

Suddenly, the Little Devil hovered in the air above the chair across from the bed.

"Little Devil, what ability did you gain from your evolution? Tell me quickly, I can't wait!" Su Tong asked eagerly. From now on, the Little Devil could truly be considered a proper assistant; before, it had essentially just been a chatterbox, which had been deathly boring.

The Little Devil didn't answer Su Tong’s question, instead cursing indignantly, "How utterly unscrupulous! To do such a thing!"

Su Tong was startled. "Little Devil, did your evolution fail? Why are you losing your mind?"

"Nonsense," the Little Devil scoffed. "Products from the System—how could they sell us cheap knockoffs? Host, come take a look at this chair. See if you can spot anything."

Su Tong walked over, curious.

"Look at the front of the armrest. Don't look at anything else," the Little Devil prompted.

Su Tong leaned down and stared at the two eye-like ornaments on the armrest. After a long moment, his expression shifted.

Damn it, it was a pinhole camera.

"The one on the left is a real eye, a decorative one. The one on the right is fake; it’s been fitted with a pinhole camera," the Little Devil explained.

"Little Devil, you have this ability too? See if there are any other pinhole cameras in the room." Su Tong was furious. It was fortunate he didn't have a girlfriend and had checked in alone. It was even more fortunate that he had the Little Devil, a non-human assistant.

The Little Devil boasted arrogantly, "I have evolved into a super-lifeform and no longer belong to the human category. This minor ability is nothing in my eyes. There will be things that surprise you even more in the future."

While bragging, the Little Devil didn't forget to continue its sweep. After checking the bathroom as well, it said, "That’s the only one; there are no others. It’s a pity that I’ve just evolved and my detection range is too small. If I were fully grown, I could monitor an entire building in the blink of an eye."

That powerful? Su Tong was shocked, followed immediately by wild joy. The System's perks were truly great; the suffering he had endured earlier was worth it.

"Right," Su Tong’s expression suddenly changed, and he rushed out of the room to knock on Lin Yin’s door next door. If his room had a pinhole camera, hers might have one too.

"I hope Sister Yin hasn't done anything too compromising from start to finish," Su Tong thought, waiting anxiously. The door opened shortly after he knocked; her manager answered, as the two of them were sharing a room.

"Where is Sister Yin?" As soon as the door opened, Su Tong rushed in, not seeing Lin Yin in the main room. However, the bathroom door was closed.

"She’s in the bathroom, getting ready to shower. Why did you just burst in like that?" the manager said, sounding somewhat displeased. Two of the bathroom's walls were glass; it was very impolite for Su Tong to charge in like that.

"Sister Yin, don't shower yet! Don't take off your clothes! Put them back on, there might be a pinhole camera in the room!" Su Tong looked toward the bathroom, where he could vaguely see a flash of white. Lin Yin was in the middle of undressing.

Lin Yin let out an "Ah!" and hurriedly pulled back on the clothes she had half-removed.

"Wh-what’s going on?" Lin Yin walked out of the bathroom, pale-faced. She had already taken off half her clothes and her upper body had been exposed. The manager’s expression also turned grim; she had already showered earlier.

"I found a pinhole camera in my room. I suspect you have one here too," Su Tong said angrily. If there had been a camera in the bathroom, Lin Yin would have already been seen.

Su Tong quickly entered the bathroom to check. In truth, he didn't have the eye for it; he was relying entirely on the Little Devil. Outside the bathroom, Lin Yin stood with a pale face, feeling uneasy.

"There’s nothing in the bathroom," Su Tong said, emerging a short while later.

"You scared me to death," Lin Yin said, patting her chest. Her chest looked a bit flatter than usual because she had been in such a rush to come out that she hadn't put her bra back on, simply throwing her outer garment over herself. The manager breathed a sigh of relief as well.

"I’ll check the rest of the room," Su Tong said, continuing his sweep. The manager became nervous again; she had undressed outside the bathroom before going in, and had dressed back out here after showering. Although she was married with children, she had no desire to be secretly recorded.

The Little Devil scanned the area and, sure enough, found one at the head of the bed.

"Take pictures, keep evidence," Su Tong said, his expression
