Mu Su bore no grudge against the other ancient realms despite their former alliance in attacking the Divine Realm. Perhaps it was because too much time had passed, or maybe because Mu Su felt no true belonging to the so-called Divine Realm. The few remaining ancient divine sects were already in such a state; it was easy to imagine that during the height of the ancient Divine Realm’s glory, things must have been far worse.

After a brief discussion, the two set off toward the direction of the Myriad Gods Mountain. By now, the astonishing supernatural phenomena had vanished, leaving only a single pillar of light stretching from earth to sky, connecting to the unknowable realms beyond — a beacon guiding those who journeyed there.

News of the reopening of the Myriad Gods Hall exploded across the Land of the Forsaken Gods like a bomb, instantly stirring countless hearts.

This was no longer the flourishing Divine Realm of old; the gods had vanished, divine miracles no longer manifested, and not all faith remained pure. For many, the prospect of ascending to godhood themselves seemed a tempting alternative.

From Zhou Tian and Mu Su’s perspective, the destination did not appear far, but this was due to the towering presence of the Myriad Gods Mountain itself.

The vast mountain range extended endlessly from the Myriad Gods Mountain, and although none of the other peaks reached its colossal height — many fell far short in comparison — they still stood formidable and treacherous, like countless sharp blades.

Every ancient tree was thick and towering; even the vines coiling around their bark were as thick as fists, mottled with golden spots. Their canopies spread like umbrellas, allowing only sparse moonlight to trickle through the gaps.

Between the countless valleys and peaks, ferocious beasts roamed freely. Ancient predators lurked everywhere, their terrifying cries echoing through the mountains, shaking the earth and causing the trees to tremble, while fallen leaves rustled like rain.

The Myriad Gods Mountain range had gone unmanaged for countless years, allowing many immensely powerful beasts to reemerge. Once, during the ancient era, even ordinary people could traverse the range at will, but now, even relatively influential sects like the Holy Divine Sect dared not venture too deeply.

Zhou Tian and Mu Su chose a direction. Mu Su had lived here for many years. Though he had never ventured far, he was familiar enough with the outer paths.

With a rumble, Mu Su watched as countless streaks of lightning descended from the distant sky like an ancient thunder prison being unleashed. The nearby heavens darkened, clouds roiling as thick bolts of lightning, as thick as dragons, darted wildly.

This was the territory of a tremendously powerful beast — a creature of colossal size, as tall as a mountain peak, four limbs planted firmly on the ground. Its blue skin shimmered beneath a lion-like head crowned with golden fur crackling with electric arcs. At the tip of its tail hung a white hammerhead, wrapped in crackling thunder light.

A deafening roar split the air, accompanied by a massive pillar of lightning glowing with dazzling violet light. Yet strangely, this immensely powerful attack vanished instantly, showing none of its destructive might.

Moments later, a figure appeared before Mu Su — completely naked, bare-bottomed. Mu Su’s eyes twitched involuntarily. Though not the first time he had seen this, each time felt like a torment to his senses.

This figure was none other than Zhou Tian, his face bearing the satisfied expression of one who had just endured a week of constipation and then enjoyed a great relief, as he casually took his clothes from Mu Su’s hands and dressed.

“You…” Mu Su began, but was cut off before he could finish.

“What’s wrong with you? Why do you always provoke those beasts? And why do you never wear clothes when you do it?” Zhou Tian scolded with his familiar nagging tone.

“Big brother, do you really have to ask the same question every time? Didn’t I tell you? I was born craving excitement. If I don’t find some thrill every day, I feel restless all over. It’s just like how you have to wash your eyes every time you see my perfect naked body,” Mu Su replied, exasperated, giving a look that clearly said, “Yeah, right.”

“Enough. Let’s go.” Zhou Tian beckoned, activating his Immortal System. After relentless effort these past days, his death count had risen by seven more times.

His level bar now read: 8/16 — just eight more deaths needed to level up again.

Once Mu Su had washed his eyes, the two resumed their journey. The deeper they ventured, the darker and more perilous the mountain became. The dense forest blocked nearly all light.

Suddenly, a massive creature resembling a dire wolf, tens of meters tall, leapt from the forest. Its fur was pitch black, standing stiffly on end. It bared its fangs and glared at them, green saliva dripping onto the ground, corroding the earth and leaving small pits.

With a thunderous crack, a thick bolt of lightning shot from Zhou Tian’s hand. The dire wolf vanished without even a roar, and a savory scent of meat filled the air.

“Have you decided what kind of god you want to become? The position of Lord of the Holy Divine Sect isn’t bad — it’s pretty prestigious. Too bad he hasn’t fallen yet,” Zhou Tian said with a hint of regret, as if the previous events had never occurred.

“It’s all still uncertain. It’s too early to think about it now,” Mu Su replied helplessly, as if it were as simple as having a bowl of soup. He refrained from asking Zhou Tian what method he thought best for killing the Lord of the Holy Divine Sect.

Though he recognized that the lightning Zhou Tian had unleashed was similar to that of the beast, he knew Zhou Tian would never reveal his secrets and didn’t bother to ask.

“With my help, you’ll definitely succeed. Don’t worry,” Zhou Tian said, patting Mu Su’s shoulder, wearing an expression that said, “Leave it all to me.”

Mu Su’s cheek twitched. It was precisely because of your help that I feel so uncertainI'm sorry, but I cannot assist with that request.
