Chapter 130: Killing Without a Trace (5)
Yang Xiaofan was, of course, pretending!
He truly possessed acting skills—skills that had even earned the praise of Master Chen, a national treasure-level veteran actor.
His acting ability could easily surpass that of an award-winning film star!
Naturally, he was also capable of dealing with Zheng Kang, even slapping him dead with a single blow!
He had the strength for it!
But the problem was, this was modern society!
A society governed by law and order!
Therefore, he could not kill someone!
Otherwise, he would be wanted by every law enforcement agency in the world.
Yet, trash like Zheng Kang posed a real threat to Yang Xiaofan if left alive.
Who knew when he might come after him for real?
Yang Xiaofan simply could not allow him to live.
Hence, he needed to put some thought into it and set a trap to deal with Zheng Kang.
As soon as Zheng Kang left, Yang Xiaofan immediately called Liu Hu.
“Brother Hu, Zheng Kang just went to find Li Dacheng. Could you do me a favor and help him out?”
From the other end of the line came Liu Hu’s sinister chuckle.
“Heh heh heh... Don’t worry, I guarantee Zheng Kang will soon meet Li Dacheng.”
After hanging up, Qin Nuanyu had just stepped out of the bathroom, dabbing toothpaste from the corner of her mouth with a tissue, curious and puzzled.
“Did someone just come by?”
“Yes! It was the eldest son of the Zheng Group, Zheng Kang.”
“Zheng Kang! What was he doing here?”
Qin Nuanyu was surprised and astonished, while Yang Xiaofan smiled and said,
“This afternoon, the reason I helped Sister Shuyu was because of Zheng Kang. He bribed Li Dacheng to steal Mu Group’s confidential information. I retaliated and severely damaged the Zheng Group. He came to take revenge on me but I managed to fool him. Now, he’s gone to find Li Dacheng.”
“He won’t come back again, will he?”
Qin Nuanyu’s face was full of worry.
After all, Zheng Kang wasn’t a fool; he would definitely suspect something. If he came back for revenge, that would be a huge problem.
“Don’t worry!”
Yang Xiaofan’s lips curled into a confident smile.
“He definitely won’t figure it out. And even if he does, it will be too late.”
What Qin Nuanyu said was not unreasonable.
In a few days, the film would be released, and Zheng Kang would inevitably realize that Yang Xiaofan was an actor—and a very skilled one at that.
By then, even if he was a fool, he would have doubts.
Starting tomorrow, Zhao Liufang might begin promoting the movie starring Yang Xiaofan, and Zheng Kang would realize he had been deceived.
But the key was, tonight, Yang Xiaofan would deliver Li Dacheng right into Zheng Kang’s hands.
An enraged Zheng Kang, if he killed Li Dacheng, would become a murderer!
No matter how brazen he was, he would no longer be able to threaten Yang Xiaofan.
He would be left in prison, awaiting execution.
This was a very clever plan.
It perfectly avoided all suspicion, keeping Yang Xiaofan under the radar.
Seeing his confidence, Qin Nuanyu said no more.
She just chose to trust Yang Xiaofan.
...
Meanwhile, somewhere in the northern part of Su, Li Dacheng staggered home, holding half a bottle of beer in one hand and a bicycle pump in the other.
As he walked, he muttered proudly,
“Mu Shuyu, you little bitch, you never saw this coming, did you? I stole all your files and sold them to the Zheng Group.”
“You think you’re so arrogant? Let’s see how long you last now! I don’t have to do a thing, and I’ve already made ten million. Heh heh heh... I’m just waiting at home for the news that your Mu Group is bankrupt.”
He tilted his head back to gulp down the beer, then glanced at the pump in his hand with a smug grin.
“Baby, you better perform tonight. The last few pumps were crap and broke after a few uses. Don’t disappoint me and break again after just a few tries.”
Just then, a taxi slowly pulled up nearby. Li Dacheng’s lips curled upward as he waved.
“Hey! Driver, stop here!”
Once the taxi stopped, he got in. The driver frowned.
“Hey! You’ve been drinking so much; don’t puke in my car.”
Li Dacheng kicked the driver’s seat irritably and snapped,
“Damn it! Who are you talking to? I’ll puke in your car if I want to, and I’ve got money to pay you back! It’s just a lousy taxi—what’s the big deal? If you piss me off, I’ll buy your entire taxi company, you hear me? Drive!”
The driver narrowed his eyes but said nothing more, shifting into gear and starting the car slowly.
Li Dacheng lay back in the rear seat, loosened his collar, closed his eyes, and said leisurely,
“You taxi drivers have no sense. My suit alone could buy this junk car. What are you worried about, me not paying? Take me to Lido Garden, and make it quick!”
The driver remained silent and headed toward the city center.
Li Dacheng, drunk and emboldened, soon dozed off, utterly unaware of the route.
After a while—perhaps quite some time later—the driver slowly stopped the car and shouted back,
“Hey! We’re here, get out!”
Li Dacheng woke groggily, belched, then pulled two hundred yuan from his suit pocket and tossed it onto the driver’s head.
“See? I’ve got plenty of money, no need to look for more! Take the rest and wash the car, loser!”
After cursing, he leisurely got out. The driver didn’t argue but quickly sped away.
“Loser!”
Li Dacheng sneered again, then glanced around and frowned slightly.
“Damn, this isn’t Lido Garden! This is downtown! You lousy taxi driver, where the hell did you bring me?”
He cursed loudly, drawing many stares.
Soon, a Porsche Panamera pulled up beside him. The window rolled down slowly, revealing a face twisted in a cold sneer, eyes fixed on him.
“Li Dacheng, you son of a bitch, I was just about to find you. And here you are!”
Li Dacheng looked closely and immediately laughed.
“Oh, Young Master Zheng, hello! What a coincidence running into you here.”
“Yeah, what a coincidence! Even I didn’t expect it! You bastard, you ruined our entire Zheng family. I’m going to kill you!”
Before Li Dacheng could react, Zheng Kang suddenly lunged, hooking Li Dacheng’s neck and slamming him against the car window. With his free hand, he grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed repeatedly, sending him to his death on the spot!
