Su Yun pushed the shopping cart, watching He Mian buy one thing after another—was he planning to move the entire supermarket home?

He Mian knew how to enjoy the privileges of being a boyfriend, insisting that Su Yun personally cook for his birthday and dragging her to the supermarket to buy ingredients.

Xiao Bao had originally planned to spend a romantic evening with He Mian, as the maid who handled cooking and cleaning would officially start work tomorrow.

He Mian’s kitchen was purely for show; even the ingredients for cooking had to be purchased anew.

Soy sauce and vinegar weren’t as easy to identify as other items, so Su Yun compared several brands, picked up both light and dark soy sauce, and was about to put them in the cart when she paused. Turning to He Mian, who was pushing the cart, she said, “Mr. He, can you guess which of these bottles is light soy sauce and which is dark?”

He Mian rested his hand on the cart, looking suave and elegant.

“Is there a prize for this quiz?”

“Sure, if you get it right, I’ll pay for everything in this cart,” Su Yun declared boldly.

He Mian didn’t know French; this little game was childish but amusing, much like teasing a puppy.

Besides, He Mian was all thumbs in the kitchen and probably had never even heard of light or dark soy sauce. Even if he guessed right, she could always say he was wrong.

In short, Su Yun was sure she’d win.

He Mian pushed the cart aside, walked up to Su Yun, and pointed at the bottle in her right hand. “This one is the light soy sauce.”

He answered so quickly and decisively that Su Yun was stunned, wanting to argue but missing her chance—he’d guessed correctly.

He Mian watched her expression, and in that brief moment of surprise, he knew he’d gotten it right.

“You—”

He Mian slipped his arm around Su Yun’s neck and sealed her lips with a kiss.

“Forget about paying for the cart; this kind of reward is much better,” he said shamelessly.

Su Yun’s cheeks flushed red. In public, no less—what if someone saw them?

She turned around—and sure enough, someone had. A girl holding a bag of condiments was watching them with great interest.

Su Yun: “…”

She turned back and glared at He Mian, making him want to drag her home immediately.

Having been caught, the girl walked over to Su Yun. “Miss, could you help me find some condiments? I came to visit my boyfriend and want to cook for him, but these labels are making my head spin.”

She’d overheard most of their exchange just now, and hearing a familiar accent made her feel at ease, so she decided to ask Su Yun for help to save time.

Su Yun was happy to assist, and the girl thanked her. “Thank you, big sister. Your boyfriend is really handsome.”

He Mian, who had been following along with a blank expression, gave the girl an approving look when he heard this—as if to say she had good taste.

Looking at the cart piled up like a mountain, Su Yun scratched her temple. “Done shopping? Ready to check out?”

“There’s still one thing left, and I need you to help with it,” He Mian replied.

Su Yun was curious—what was it?

He Mian draped his arm around her shoulders and whispered something in her ear, as if casting a spell.

Su Yun blushed and led He Mian to a certain section of the store.

The entire shelf was his to choose from.

The last few times, Su Yun had relied on pills, unsure if He Mian hadn’t prepared or simply wasn’t used to using them. She’d brought it up before, and He Mian had teased her, saying she must really want to do that with him.

Now that he’d brought it up, it was about time anyway—after all, as a normal adult man, he wouldn’t want to deny himself.

“Here, take your pick,” Su Yun said, not even looking at the shelf—it was obvious she’d never bought these before and was embarrassed.

But He Mian wouldn’t let her off that easily. “You choose. It’s all in French; how am I supposed to tell?”

Su Yun suspected he was doing this on purpose—couldn’t he just look at the sizes? XS, S, M, L were in English; surely he could read those?

“Just check the size,” she muttered, wanting to escape, but He Mian pulled her back.

“They come in different scents, don’t they?” He Mian picked up a box from the shelf. “What’s this one?”

“...Lemon,” she replied.

“What about this? And this one?”

Su Yun couldn’t take it anymore. At one point, another shopper even reached between them to grab a box, giving them a teasing look as he left.

To speed things up, Su Yun quickly grabbed a few boxes, hurried to the checkout, and left.
