“It’s nothing.” Zhou Yinhe coughed a few more times, then crushed his cigarette underfoot. Yang, the butler standing nearby, sighed but ultimately decided not to tell Ning Qing about the incident.

An outsider sees more clearly.

Wen Ling had no idea that after she left, Zhao Xing Tang had mentioned her to others.

Having just finished dinner outside and back in the car, Wen Ling received a call from her grandfather in the United States.

Mr. Wen was usually stern and serious, but with his only precious granddaughter, he was more like a kindly old man.

“My dear, how have you been in China? Are you happy?” Mr. Wen asked warmly.

“Good, very happy,” Wen Ling replied sweetly. “Grandpa, don’t worry about me. How’s your health? Has Wen Zhuo been taking good care of you?”

“Wen Zhuo has been looking after me well. Grandpa is fine, don’t worry,” Mr. Wen laughed heartily. He gave Wen Zhuo a knowing look, and Wen Zhuo came over smiling, “Sis, rest assured, grandpa is doing well.”

“That’s good. Ah Zhuo, remember to watch Grandpa’s meals.”

Mr. Wen’s last checkup showed elevated blood sugar, so before Wen Ling left for China, she had instructed the Wen family to keep a close eye on her grandfather’s diet, though she still worried.

“All right, sis,” Wen Zhuo teased, glancing at Mr. Wen.

Mr. Wen gave him a sharp look. Just as he was about to say more to Wen Ling, she interrupted, “Grandpa, I have something to do. Let’s talk next time.”

With that, Wen Ling hung up. Mr. Wen stared at the phone, incredulous, and looked up at Wen Zhuo, who was struggling not to laugh.

“Your sister hung up on me?”

“Yes, she did,” Wen Zhuo replied, pursing his lips.

“How could she hang up on me? What could be more important than a call from your grandpa?”

“Maybe, possibly, perhaps there’s something important she couldn’t tell you?”

“Well, she still shouldn’t hang up on me!” Mr. Wen huffed and called out, “Butler Han! Bring me a glass of iced juice! I need to cool down!”

Wen Zhuo glanced at Butler Han with an indifferent look. Butler Han forced a smile, lowered his gaze, and pretended not to hear.

Wen Zhuo got up to pour tea for Mr. Wen and said softly, “Grandpa, tea cools you down just as well.”

Mr. Wen was speechless.

After hanging up, Wen Ling looked ahead at the car that had just passed by and stopped at the red light.

“Hit it,” Wen Ling instructed the driver with a smirk.

The driver hesitated briefly, but orders from Miss must be obeyed. He pressed the accelerator, and with a loud bang, the sound drew the attention of passersby.

Two luxury cars, rarely seen in the city, had collided, naturally attracting a crowd’s gaze.

Even though Wen Ling was prepared, the impact still knocked her a bit. She rubbed her reddened forehead and heard the driver say, “Miss, the other party is getting out.”

Wen Ling looked up and saw only the other driver stepping out. She said softly, “Remember to apologize. Wait to see the other party’s boss before compensating.”

The driver nodded and got out. The opposing driver frowned and glared coldly, “How do you drive? How can you hit me from that far back?”

The driver smiled apologetically, “Sorry, sorry, I couldn’t stop in time. Are you hurt? Is anyone else in your car? Are they okay?”

The opposing driver glanced back at the car, saw the man wasn’t coming out, and said, “My boss is fine.”

“Maybe your boss should come out so I can check for injuries and explain to my boss,” the driver suggested.

The opposing driver hesitated briefly, then approached the car. Wen Ling could only see the window slowly rolling down from her position. She pursed her lips, unconsciously feeling a bit hopeful.

The door opened, revealing exactly who Wen Ling was hoping to see.

Zhou Yinhe rubbed his neck and stepped out, looking coldly at Wen Ling’s driver. The driver caught Wen Ling’s gaze peeking out from the car window, cleared his throat, and smiled, “Sir, sorry for the trouble. Are you feeling unwell? Should I call an ambulance?”

“No need,” Zhou Yinhe glanced at the other car and said coldly, “Leave your contact info. My driver will get in touch about the repair costs.”

Hearing this, Wen Ling hurriedly got out, smiling brightly, “Zhou Yinhe, what a coincidence.”

Seeing her, Zhou Yinhe immediately guessed it was a trick and narrowed his eyes, voice low, “Quite a coincidence indeed—cars stopped and you still managed to hit mine.”

Wen Ling coughed awkwardly and changed the subject, “How about this, let’s exchange contacts? You can just send me the bill later.”

“You already have my number. Just add my driver,” Zhou Yinhe refused to fall for her ploy, determined to cut all ties with Wen Ling.

“No, you’re the car’s owner. It’s better to add you. What if your driver asks me for more money?” Wen Ling knew her argument was weak but shamelessly pouted, “Besides, you wouldn’t accept my friend request when I searched your number and even blocked me.”

Zhou Yinhe’s driver looked at her in disbelief—does she really think I’m the type to ask for extra money?

Zhou Yinhe turned his head, not wanting to see her expression, afraid he might soften.

“I definitely won’t bother you. Just add me, okay? So I can transfer the repair money to you.”

The two cars blocked the middle of the road. Cars behind honked furiously, unable to move. Zhou Yinhe glanced at the jam and said, “Let’s move the cars aside first.”

Wen Ling shook her head, “No. If you don’t add me, I won’t move, and your car can’t go either.” She pulled up a QR code on her phone and held it out to Zhou Yinhe.

Frowning at her brazen attitude, Zhou Yinhe considered that many people knew his car. If someone took photos and posted them online, it would cause trouble. Reluctantly, he took out his phone and scanned her code. After adding her, he said coldly, “Can we go now?”

“Wait a moment.” Wen Ling opened the chat and sent a message. Hearing Zhou Yinhe’s phone ring, she smiled sweetly at the driver, “Let’s go.”

She got back in, rolled down the window, and waved at Zhou Yinhe with a bright smile, radiating warmth and vitality, looking innocent. Zhou Yinhe sneered internally.

Innocent my foot—she’s a cold-hearted, ungrateful scoundrel.

He ordered the driver to leave quickly, unaware that a nearby small sports car was snapping photos of him and Wen Ling.

In the “Suited Rebels Support Group” chat, the sports car owner threw in a photo. The once-silent group suddenly became lively.

The city’s biggest flirt: “Whoa, who’s this? Pulling and tugging with a woman in the middle of the street [doge face].”

Human ATM: “Yo, what a gorgeous woman! Xiao Wu sure has good luck [doge face].”

Your wife’s ideal type: “Isn’t that so-and-so? When did he come to China? And why is he running into our Xiao Wu again?”

Human ATM: “@Your wife’s ideal type, do you even deserve that name?”
