Chapter 20: Chu Yang at Hogwarts
"I will definitely become the Hokage one day! A Hokage just like Lord Hashirama!"
On the first day of enrollment at the Ninja Academy, Chu Yang spotted a student shouting at the top of his lungs right at the entrance.
Chu Yang did not particularly enjoy teaching. For one, he was a natural-born prodigy and lacked the patience to instruct ordinary people. For another, he detested bratty children—especially those in an overexcited state, like the one bellowing before him.
With a dark expression, Chu Yang walked up to the boy, pressed a hand firmly onto his head, and said coldly, "This is a school. Keep it down."
To his surprise, the brat had quite the temper. He slapped Chu Yang's hand away, ran behind his father, and made a face at him.
Chu Yang: "..."
The ninja seemed to recognize who Chu Yang was and offered an embarrassed, apologetic smile. "Lord Yang, I am terribly sorry. My boy is poorly disciplined; please don't take it to heart."
Chu Yang asked with a look of surprise, "You know me? What is your name?"
"I am Sasuke Sarutobi, and this is my son, Hiruzen Sarutobi."
Sasuke Sarutobi pushed Hiruzen forward with a smile and whispered, "This is Lord Hokage's disciple. You admire him so much, don't you? Why have you gone quiet?"
Hiruzen Sarutobi stared at Chu Yang, eyes wide. Chu Yang stared back just as intently, and the two stood in a silent standoff.
*Holy crap!*
This brat is actually the Third Hokage?
While Chu Yang was still in a state of bewilderment, the young Third Hokage spoke up brazenly, "So you're the Hokage's disciple? You don't look like much."
Chu Yang: "..."
Sasuke Sarutobi scratched his head in embarrassment and laughed, "Hahaha, Lord Yang, my apologies. The kid must still be half-asleep; he’s always babbling nonsense."
The corners of Chu Yang's mouth curled up in a mirthless smile. "No matter. I'll take him inside shortly, and he’ll wake up soon enough."
Sensing the ill intent in Chu Yang's tone, Hiruzen Sarutobi scrambled backward, trying to burrow behind his father. However, the small boy was inevitably pushed toward Chu Yang by his father.
"Lord Yang, please take good care of Hiruzen. I have a mission to attend to, so I must be going." After giving his instructions, Sasuke Sarutobi looked down at his son. "Hiruzen, study your ninjutsu well. I'll come pick you up when school is out!"
With that, Sasuke Sarutobi vanished using the Body Flicker Technique, his mission clearly urgent. Hiruzen Sarutobi looked up at Chu Yang, forcing a stiff, ingratiating smile.
Chu Yang smiled back, though in Hiruzen's eyes, he looked like a demon.
"Waaaaah!!!!"
His psychological defenses shattered, Hiruzen Sarutobi burst into loud, wailing sobs.
*Did I really make the future Third Hokage cry on the very first day of school?*
Chu Yang clutched his forehead, feeling a massive headache coming on.
...
The start of the school season was troublesome, and it wasn't just Chu Yang in the Ninja world who felt that way; the Chu Yang in the Harry Potter magical world was equally bothered.
The Chu Yang of the magical world was raised in a London orphanage. Before he had accessed the Soul Palace, he had already received his acceptance letter from Hogwarts. He possessed a certain degree of magical talent, but at the time, he was worried he wouldn't be able to handle the crises that would inevitably unfold at the school.
The first few years would have been fine; he was confident he could coast through those. The problem was that once he reached his fourth year, the plot of the Triwizard Tournament would begin, signaling the return of Voldemort. Chu Yang didn't believe that a wizarding apprentice from an orphanage could survive a war that would engulf the entire magical world. Rather than risk his life at Hogwarts, he would have preferred to live out his days peacefully as a Muggle.
But now, the situation had changed.
His "cheat" had arrived! With the support of his counterparts from the other two worlds, Chu Yang felt a sudden surge of confidence. Upon returning his soul to the reality of the magical world, the first thing he did was dig out the acceptance letter hidden under his pillow.
