039 Yi Jiayang's Maid?
Fan Lina did not care for Zhang Wen’s tone either.
She smiled at An'an, saying, "An'an, this is Sui Yu. He’s transferring to our Class Five today. Would you mind taking our new classmate to the classroom? The teacher will be there in a moment."
"Of course!" An'an let go of the hands she had been using to cover Sui Yu’s ears and took his small hand in hers.
"I’m An'an. Well, my full name is Shen Nian'an, but everyone is used to calling me An'an. You’re Sui Yu, right? Can I call you Yu-Yu?"
Sui Yu looked down at the hand holding his and gave it a tug, trying to pull away. However, he found that An'an had a surprisingly firm grip, and he couldn’t break free.
Sui Yu didn't answer. Since he couldn't pull away, he let her be.
An'an hadn't expected to meet someone even quieter than Shen Zhihan.
"Why aren't you saying anything? I know you can talk! Yu-Yu, if you don't say anything, I’ll take that as a yes."
Just as An'an was about to lead Sui Yu into the classroom, Zhang Wen’s voice suddenly came from behind them.
She had followed them.
Zhang Wen pulled the two children's hands apart, wearing a fake smile. "Little Yu, don't you go bullying this little girl. She’s being so nice to you; if you bully her, I won’t let you off, you hear?"
An'an didn't like how she immediately labeled Sui Yu the moment she arrived.
"That’s not true! Yu-Yu is very well-behaved. He hasn't said a single word, so how could he bully me?"
"Little girl, wait until you get pushed down, kidnapped on the street, or have your pretty little face cut up—then you’ll understand that I’m doing this for your own good."
The moment Zhang Wen finished speaking, Sui Yu, who had been like a wooden doll just a moment ago, suddenly lashed out at An'an. He stared at her coldly. "Go away! I hate you! Don't touch me!"
Qu Bowen and Tian Wenhan had been waiting for An'an. Seeing Sui Yu act aggressively toward her, they immediately rushed over.
The two boys shielded An'an behind them, glaring fiercely at Sui Yu. "Why are you being mean to An'an? You don't like her, but we do! Who wants to touch you anyway!"
Qu Bowen reached out and pulled An'an away. "An'an, let’s go."
Other children from Class Five poked their heads out to watch the commotion.
Zhang Wen apologized with feigned politeness, "I’m so sorry, children. Sui Yu has a very bad temper. He steals, grabs things, and bullies other kids. Please be patient with him and look after him a little."
Though her words sounded like a plea for patience, every syllable was designed to push Sui Yu into the abyss.
Fan Lina emerged from the office, frowned at what she heard, and hurriedly took Sui Yu to class.

A young boy, whom An'an had never seen before, arrived wearing a button-down shirt with a tie and checkered suspender shorts. He looked An'an up and down.
"So you’re the new student who transferred yesterday, An'an, right? You don't look too bad. I’ll begrudgingly let you be my maid. You, help me carry my backpack."
An'an’s eyes widened, looking at the boy in confusion.
What was he talking about?
Nearby, some children snickered.
"A maid? An'an is Yi Jiayang’s maid, a maid, a maid."
Yesterday, An'an had shown her affinity for animals, and the children had admired her greatly, but the moment Yi Jiayang returned to class, the tide had turned.
It was said that Yi Jiayang’s family was incredibly wealthy and his father held great power. The parents had all warned their children not to offend him.
Although An'an didn't know what a "maid" was, she knew it wasn't a nice word.
Qu Bowen reacted more directly. He stepped forward and kicked Yi Jiayang’s backpack to the ground. "You want An'an to be your maid? Keep dreaming!"
Tian Wenhan bumped into Yi Jiayang with his hip, causing the boy to topple over.
Tian Wenhan was a heavy-set boy, and the force of the collision was significant; Yi Jiayang couldn't keep his footing.
Yi Jiayang shrieked, "You’re all finished! I’ll make sure you’re all kicked out of Haicheng!"
Other teachers rushed over to separate the children. After hearing what happened, they found themselves in a difficult position; Yi Jiayang’s family had donated hundreds of millions to the school, and they couldn't afford to offend them. Only Fan Lina stood her ground. "Jiayang, you were the one who was rude to An'an first. You need to apologize."
Yi Jiayang hesitated, remembering his father’s recent instruction to keep a low profile. Finally, he glared at An'an and muttered, "Sorry."
An'an replied, "If apologies were useful, what would we need the police for? I don't forgive you, hmph!"
With a huff, An'an turned on her heel and marched into the classroom, causing several teachers to break into smiles—she was just too cute!
And where did she hear that line?
From Butler Liu, of course. An'an had happened to overhear the heroine say it while Butler Liu was listening to a romance novel.
Fan Lina led Sui Yu to the podium to introduce himself. "This is Sui Yu. Let’s welcome him with a round of applause."
The children had all heard what Zhang Wen said earlier.
It was terrifying—Sui Yu would hit people, and he would even stab people with knives.

The children in the audience looked at Sui Yu with fear, and no one clapped.
Xia Kexuan had an upset stomach that morning; she had only just returned from the restroom and seen Sui Yu.
She sat back in her seat and heard Gao Feifei whispering to the classmate next to her, "Oh my god. He’s stabbed people with a knife! He’s super bad! And he was mean to An'an. Even though he looks very handsome, you know what they say: don't judge a book by its cover. You can’t judge a person’s character by their appearance."
Xia Kexuan’s mind raced.
In the original book, the male lead, Sui Yu, had a miserable childhood. The book didn't detail it much, just mentioning it in passing, which was why he developed such an eccentric personality.
He later became a feared tycoon in the capital, enjoying immense power and prestige, yet he only doted on one person.
Xia Kexuan couldn't remember what the heroine had done, but she remembered that Sui Yu had spent his childhood in Haicheng, attending Wen'an Kindergarten.
As long as she stayed by Sui Yu’s side and became his little ray of sunshine, when he eventually rose to prominence, she would become Mrs. Sui, having everything she ever wanted.
Hearing Fan Lina ask for applause, Xia Kexuan was about to lead the way, but An'an clapped first.
An'an clapped so hard her little hands hurt, the sound ringing out clearly: "Welcome, Yu-Yu!"
Since An'an had clapped, Qu Bowen and Tian Wenhan followed suit.
Qu Bowen had his own group of followers, and they immediately joined in, prompting the rest of the children to clap subconsciously.
"Sui Yu, would you like to introduce yourself?"
Sui Yu remained silent, staring blankly at the room.
Fan Lina had no choice but to tell him to find a seat.
Xia Kexuan offered an enthusiastic invitation: "Sui Yu, you can sit next to me."
Sui Yu merely glanced at her indifferently and chose a seat on the edge.
Once the class was over and the children were free to play, Sui Yu sat there like a wooden doll, not moving an inch.
Having listened to Zhang Wen and heard the rumors about him stabbing people with a knife, no one dared to approach him.
Xia Kexuan smoothed her hair, took a piece of chocolate from her bag, and handed it to him. "Sui Yu, this is my favorite chocolate. Would you like some?"
