Fang Zheng had mentally recalculated several times, triple-checked his math, and after confirming he hadn’t made any mistakes, he still felt an unbearable frustration.

“11 billion times the speed of light…”

“What kind of ridiculously extreme xianxia world is this?”

Fang Zheng muttered irritably, “If this White Tiger and Vermilion Bird actually sealed me, then logically, it wouldn't make sense for a normal person to imprison a mite inside a grain of sand—they’d at least put it in a small box that’s easier to handle.”

“So… the thickness of these materials sealing me, even under the most ideal estimates, must be hundreds of kilometers thick. If the situation is worse, it could be millions or even tens of millions of kilometers thick.”

“If this formation can, like in xianxia novels, draw upon the power of heaven and earth…”

“No xianxia formation is smaller than the cultivator who sets it up. A cultivator of ordinary human size would arrange a formation covering at least several hundred meters in radius, right?”

“If that's the case… in the worst scenario, the thickness of the materials sealing me could be as vast as several light-years, even tens of light-years!”

“Even if I run tirelessly in spectator mode through the void, I wouldn’t cover even 1% of that distance after hundreds of years!”

“So…”

Fang Zheng cursed furiously. “If this is a xianxia novel, which damned author came up with these absurd numbers? Did their math and physics teachers get knocked out by the PE teacher in a fit of rage?”

“And seriously, at 11 billion times light speed—getting to this ridiculous level—why can I still see them coming to attack me? Is light propagating in jumps? Wormholes? Curvature distortions?”

“I shouldn’t be able to see anything at all! Even light would take hundreds of years to reach me!”

After cursing a few more times, Fang Zheng took a deep breath. “Calm down! Stay calm!”

“This is a xianxia world after all. The propagation of light here might not obey the speed of light laws I know.”

A few minutes later, the glowing golden-red crystals around him dimmed to the limit, shifting from luminous translucent crystals to a pitch-black void, trapping Fang Zheng in utter darkness.

He calmly took out a bottle of night vision potion from his backpack and drank it down in one gulp. Instantly, the darkness brightened.

In the game Minecraft, drinking a night vision potion allows one to see clearly in the dark.

Just like when buried under sand, drinking a night vision potion lets you perceive the sand’s color and pixel outlines, Fang Zheng could now clearly see the metallic-like material trapping him.

These materials were predominantly golden-red, covered inside and out with countless abstract runes and twisting, bird-and-beast-like symbols.

Fang Zheng observed that the chains formed by these runes writhed like rampaging pythons, constantly converging and entangling around the two blocks where he was trapped. Similar runes overlapped and fused, becoming increasingly solid.

“It seems the strength is increasing again,” Fang Zheng muttered to himself.

“Referring to xianxia novels, when an evil demon is first sealed, the seal is unstable and easiest to break. Over time, the seal’s strength peaks, then gradually weakens due to energy depletion.”

“But that seems irrelevant to me. No matter the energy strength, it doesn’t affect my pixelated block body.”

“The block body doesn’t seem to have inertia or impact force besides fall damage.”

“Even if buried under sand blocks or surrounded by leaf blocks, I have to break them block by block to escape—I can’t just brute force my way out.”

Fang Zheng pondered, “In the Minecraft world, aside from rare monster attacks like Creepers, Ghasts, Withers, and the Ender Dragon, most blocks can’t be destroyed.”

“Even a simple dirt wall can completely imprison most monsters, as long as it’s not attacked by those few destructive mobs.”

“Even if the code is modified to raise zombie attack damage into the thousands or tens of thousands—enough to kill a player in one hit in survival mode, and instantly slay the Ender Dragon and Wither—the destruction still can’t break blocks.”

“Very few blocks have durability; only architectural parts like doors have durability and can be broken by zombie attacks.”

“Even players in survival mode can’t damage a block by hitting it once with a pickaxe—they have to continuously hit until it breaks; a single pause negates the damage.”

“The White Hell portal that brought me here had its obsidian frame destroyed by earlier attacks.”

“This means that although my creative-mode body is currently unharmed, other Minecraft blocks can be destroyed by non-player creatures in this world.”

“What causes this difference? If I take a cue from fantasy novels, could it be a conflict between the laws of two worlds, a mutual compromise?”

After some thought, Fang Zheng decided to experiment by trying to fill the gap he made in the golden-red material with a Minecraft block to see if it could resist the material’s self-healing.

With a “thud,” he struck again, creating a gap in the golden-red substance. Before the viscous runes surged out to heal the gap, he quickly placed an oak wood block there.

The oak wood block from his creative-mode inventory fit perfectly into the gap.

However, in the very next frame, accompanied by a faint “crackle,” the oak wood block caught fire with pixelated burning effects and vanished into thin air in the following frame.

Fang Zheng carefully observed this, pondering its meaning. “Even the more easily destroyed oak wood block lasted a frame, huh?”

In the game, punching trees barehanded is a beginner’s first task.

Blocks in the game vary in hardness and material.

Wood is a necessary raw material for crafting tools, obtainable by hand or with axes of various materials.

However, wood blocks can also be ignited by flint and steel, lava, or skeletons’ flaming enchanted arrows. After burning for a while, they are destroyed—unlike breaking, which drops items, burning causes blocks to disappear entirely.

Fang Zheng realized that if his calculations were correct, it meant the two divine beasts attacking him—horrifying creatures so enormous their size must be measured in astronomical units—possess attack and defense capabilities far beyond his imagination.

“11 billion times the speed of light, a size comparable to a supergiant like Betelgeuse…”

“A supernova explosion or even a black hole jet would probably be mere irritations to them.”

“No matter how I underestimate, with such exaggerated speed and size, this White Tiger could wipe out all the stars in a galaxy in a heartbeat.”

Yet despite this, the attacks from these astronomical-scale monsters failed to utterly overwhelm even the oak wood block—a block so fragile it can be easily destroyed barehanded in survival mode—unlike the absolute domination depicted in high-level xianxia battles over lower realms.
