The surrounding air temperature surged rapidly.

Ling Yinyin covered her mouth and nose, struggling to breathe.

She quickly gathered her important belongings and dashed toward the exit of the Forbidden Zone, only to be blocked by a sudden burst of blazing flames right in front of her.

She turned back and saw the giant serpent closing in.

Ling Yinyin shouted, "Mo Yin, calm down!"

But Mo Yin had completely lost his reason.

At this moment, he had utterly become a ruthless beast. To vent the evil fire burning within him, the giant serpent continuously spewed flames, leaving nothing alive in its path.

Though there was no grass in the Forbidden Zone to begin with.

But there were her wild white sandalwood trees!

Ling Yinyin felt a pang of heartache; a perfectly good tree was now destroyed by Mo Yin’s fire.

Yet, compared to the trees, her life was more important. Clutching her belongings tightly, she searched desperately for a way to escape.

The fire spread rapidly, and before her was an endless wall of flames. To get out, she would have to risk her life running straight through it.

Ling Yinyin was frightened; she had no confidence to do so.

Looking the other way, the giant serpent was also trapped in the sea of fire, but its scales were impervious to the flames. After the fire passed, the black scales glistened with an eerie glow.

Its physical constitution was unmatched.

With no other choice, Ling Yinyin fled in a panic, hiding wherever she could to stay away from the flames.

Fortunately, the Forbidden Zone was large. After running frantically, she finally found a recessed stone wall and crouched inside it.

From this vantage point, she could still see Mo Yin thrashing madly in the fiery sea, writhing, twisting, and crawling...

It was terrifying. Holding her breath, Ling Yinyin thought this was the most intense experience she had ever had in her life, all thanks to Mo Yin.

The Forbidden Zone continued to tremble and shake, punctuated by the roars of the giant beast, echoing endlessly.

...

After an unknown length of time, the flames gradually subsided.

Ling Yinyin peeked out cautiously but saw no sign of the giant serpent.

Huh? Where was Mo Yin?

Besides the crackling sound of the fire, she heard nothing else.

Could it be... he was burned to death?

After waiting a while longer and hearing no sound, Ling Yinyin crept out quietly, weaving through the dying fire.

"Mo Yin, Mo Yin?"

She whispered, receiving no reply.

...This was bad. She had a bad feeling.

Had he really been burned to a crisp?

But she hadn’t seen a body either.

Just as she was puzzled, a tall, slender figure slowly emerged from the flames behind her.

"Mo... ah!!"

In an instant, her feet lifted off the ground, lifted by a powerful force. Ling Yinyin turned her head but couldn’t see anything clearly before everything went black and her lips were sealed.

Her chin was gripped tightly, the strength unyielding, and a warm breath overwhelmed her senses.

Opening her eyes, Ling Yinyin saw that the gaze fixed on her face belonged to Mo Yin.

But Mo Yin looked different.

The most obvious change was that all his wounds had fully healed, and a strange pattern now adorned his forehead.

It was crimson red, making his already sinister face even more bewitching. Coupled with his dark, intimidating purple eyes, he looked no different from a specter out of a ghost story.

Their eyes met, and Ling Yinyin’s heart tightened.

Mo Yin was not conscious.

Those vertical pupils hid a deep, intense desire.

She was all too familiar with such a gaze, having encountered it once or twice almost every day over the past few nights.

Ling Yinyin raised her hand, intending to slap him awake.

But just as her hand rose, Mo Yin anticipated the move and turned his head to dodge.

His reflexes were so fast that Ling Yinyin didn’t even touch a single strand of his hair.

"..."

Her hand awkwardly froze mid-air.

Then came a sharp pain on her lips—Mo Yin bit her hard. Blood spurted, splattering the corner of his mouth.

A sweet scent filled the air. Mo Yin extended his slender tongue and slowly licked the drops of blood into his mouth.

"Hiss..."

He sighed in satisfaction.

Ling Yinyin was stunned, forgetting even the pain.

After licking the blood, Mo Yin’s dazed eyes fixed on the wound on her lips, where blood continued to ooze, looking particularly tempting.

He lowered his head again.

Since arriving in this beast world, Ling Yinyin’s body was marked with countless bite marks left by Mo Yin. Someone unaware might think she had been branded.

After a long while, Mo Yin straightened up, clearly satisfied.

He embraced Ling Yinyin and laid her down on the ground.

Only when her legs were parted did Ling Yinyin regain her senses and quickly roll away.

"Don’t come any closer!" she grabbed at her clothes, urging him away.

Mo Yin narrowed his eyes, displeased.

Not only had he come closer, but he had also pressed down on her.

Frightened, Ling Yinyin screamed wildly.

The noise hurt Mo Yin’s ears, so he once again sealed her lips, attempting to force himself upon her.

Now, he no longer wanted to hold back.

What happened next was chaotic beyond description.

The next day, Mo Yin opened his eyes in Ling Yinyin’s embrace.

His mind was briefly foggy. He sat up in confusion, looking around at the scene before him. Slowly, fragments of memory forced their way into his mind.

After several seconds, Mo Yin remembered.

He had mated with Ling Yinyin.

Holding his forehead, he was filled with regret.

Decades of virginity as a serpent gone in an instant.

Given away to a mysterious female who appeared out of nowhere.

Looking at Ling Yinyin beside him, her brows furrowed, eyes rimmed red, clearly uncomfortable.

It was a thunderbolt out of a clear sky.

But at least there was some good news: he had safely broken through to the sixth rank, becoming the strongest male on the Sacred Beast Continent.

Without question.

Mo Yin summoned the dark red evil fire, a small, lively flame dancing happily in his palm, as if sharing its joy with him.

After breaking through to the sixth rank, the dark red evil fire became purer, its temperature tripling, and his body, tempered by the raging flames, had scales as hard as iron, impervious to any high heat.

Any beast below the sixth rank with fire-related abilities posed no threat to him.

The dark red evil fire had almost no weaknesses; without a higher rank suppressing him, he was the most powerful existence on the Sacred Beast Continent.

And his mating season should be over now.

Everything had finally reached a turning point.

“Ugh…”

Lost in thought, Mo Yin suddenly heard a faint murmur and saw Ling Yinyin slowly opening her eyes.

Pain...

Everywhere hurt...

Her body seemed to be split open from within, the scenes of last night vivid in her mind.

And the culprit was right beside her.

Rarely showing concern, Mo Yin asked, “Are you alright?”

Ling Yinyin’s throat was dry and parched, her head pounding.

She didn’t want to debate who was right or wrong for now.

“I want water. I’m very thirsty.”

Her hoarse voice broke the silence.

“Mm.”

Mo Yin fetched water for her. Ling Yinyin drank it greedily, quenching her thirst, then finally spoke.

“I don’t owe you anything anymore.”
