Chapter 42: Fu Shiyong Keeps Himself Chaste for Yuzao
Fu Family Villa.
Yu Yue was dressed in a very skimpy outfit.
Standing behind his chair, her hands made deliberate, seductive movements as they slowly massaged his rigid shoulders.
"Shiyong, thank you for playing along with me and taking those photos just now."
"Otherwise, with Elder Sister making such a scene, I would have been terrified that everyone thought our relationship was in trouble, too."
Her voice was as gentle as orchids.
The perfume she wore contained more than a hint of aphrodisiac.
The woman’s alluring figure straddled the man's lap as she deliberately targeted his most sensitive areas.
Her waist swayed with the fluid flexibility of a water snake.
The rustling of fabric rubbing together was enough to make anyone want to turn into a beast.
"Hubby~ Yiyi is growing up, and I want to give you a precious baby son, too. Will you?"
"No."
"……?"
Fu Shiyong’s handsome face remained utterly indifferent.
He felt not a shred of desire for Yu Yue’s enticements.
With a direct, unhesitating push, he moved her away—his motion reasonably gentle, but his attitude absolute and unquestionable.
"Shiyong!"
"You should go outside first, Yu Yue. I said I would give you status, and I would reward you; I won't go back on my word."
With that, he opened the study door.
Yet Yu Yue stood rooted to the spot with red, aggrieved eyes, refusing to budge an inch as she demanded:
"Fu Shiyong, it's been three years, and we're about to get married."
"Yet you simply refuse to touch me!"
"Is it because Yu Zao is still in your heart? Do you still love her, wanting to remain pure for a woman who is common to anyone?"
Jealousy had driven her mad.
Anger had driven her mad, too.
In her frenzy, the words tumbled out recklessly.
In contrast, while Yu Zao could easily stir up Fu Shiyong's emotions,
in front of everyone else, he always maintained an inscrutable, unfathomable facade of profound mystery!
"Someone, escort Yu Yue back to the Yu residence."
The implication was clear: he would no longer permit her to continue living in the Fu family villa.
Yu Yue stared in utter disbelief, dumbfounded.
Before she could even utter a word, bodyguards dragged her out in a rather wretched state.
The next second.
His assistant, watching the situation unfold from the arts center, called with a trembling voice.
Fu Shiyong spoke first, "Control the scene and just make Yu Zao withdraw from the competition; there's no need to actually follow through on the bet."
"B-But, Chairman... Sir, the... the situation... it is completely beyond control!!!"
The background noise was chaotic.
Screams and running footsteps echoed one after another.
Fu Shiyong sprang abruptly from his chair, genuine tension and worry instantly breaking across his handsome face.
He gritted his teeth, "Where is Yu Zao? She..."
"Chairman, you must protect yourself. I... I have to save my own skin first!"
The call was abruptly disconnected.
***
The situation remained unclear.
Just as he was about to get into his car and rush over to see what kind of accident had occurred,
a piercing, blood-curdling scream echoed from the villa's front courtyard—it was Yu Yue, who should have already been taken back to the Yu family.
"Sister, lying and framing people leads to having one's tongue ripped out in hell, you know?"
In the courtyard,
exotic flowers and plants that should have bloomed brilliantly even in late autumn
were now splattered with fresh blood, looking bizarre and bewitching.
Yu Zao squatted on the ground, weighing a rusted iron pair of pliers in her hand.
She smiled faintly as she made threatening gestures, her graceful swan-like neck tilting slightly.
On her exquisite face rested an apathy colder and more hollow than death itself.
"Hmm? Mr. Fu, tell me, should I smash your precious wife's head in little by little until her brains splatter?"
"Or should I pull her tongue out by the roots and throw it out to feed the dogs?"
Suddenly, without any warning,
a crazed, terrifyingly "innocent" smiling face of Yu Zao surged into Fu Shiyong's vision.
"Wuwuwu! Wuwuwu!!!"
With her mouth gagged, Yu Yue wailed and wept, frightened out of her wits.
Silence.
A long, drawn-out silence.
Yu Zao shrugged and smiled.
With one hand, she grabbed Yu Yue by the collar, while her other hand pressed the iron pliers directly against her own forehead.
"How about this, Mr. Fu? Choose one of two: either I die, or Yu Yue dies. You have one minute to answer!"
The sky was gloomy and overcast.
Seven or eight crows flew overhead, cawing raucously.
"Yu Zao, what kind of ghostly games are you playing?"
"Thirty seconds left."
"Do you think that because you pretend to be sick over and over again, I can forgive you and pity you?"
"Ten, nine, eight, seven..."
"Vicious, base, out of your mind! Yu Zao, if you had even a fraction of Yu Yue's kindness, neither you nor I would have reached this point today!"
The man's voice was steady, yet his back molars ground together with a grating crunch.
Yu Zao curled her lips, smiling as brilliantly as a blooming Datura flower—beautiful, yet fiercely poisonous.
"Three, two..."
Before the final number could pass her lips,
Fu Shiyong moved with swift decisiveness, forcefully shoving Yu Zao’s paper-thin body away, before securely shielding the traumatized Yu Yue.
Thud!
Her lower back slammed heavily against the corner of the metal railing.
A sharp, agonizing pain shot up her spine, numbing her entire body.
Splash—
Rain poured down in torrents.
Like a stray dog, she sprawled across the filthy, damp ground, drenched to the bone by heavy raindrops the size of beans.
"Yu Zao, good is rewarded with good, and evil with evil! You brought this humiliation upon yourself, so don't blame me for casting aside old ties; you asked for this!"
The man forbade anyone from calling an ambulance, nor would he allow any meddling onlookers.
He took off his suit jacket and carefully wrapped it around the still-trembling Yu Yue.
With such deep reverence and fierce concern, he carried her back into the villa.
The very instant the entrance door clicked shut,
Yu Zao’s cheerful voice drifted from behind him:
"Fu Shiyong, I am going to die."
"..."
"But I really am curious, if one day I truly die, will you shed a single tear for me?"
"..."
"Will you regret it?"
Clang!
The door closed.
Puff!
A mouthful of blood, mingling with a burst of wild laughter, escaped her lips.
Her battered phone had kept its recording function running the entire time.
Facing the camera, Yu Zao smiled even more brightly.
"Did you see it? This man is ruthless and cold!"
"Are you happy? Even if we die one day, he won't shed a single tear for us."
"Is this truly what you wanted?"
"Yu Zao! Loving someone isn't like this, and hating someone you deeply loved shouldn't be like this either..."
The howling winds raged throughout the entire night.
The next morning, at a specialty hospital under the Yang family's banner,
Yang Chen limped into the room carrying nutritional supplements,
while his phone repeatedly replayed the same video.
Yu Zao leaned against the hospital bed, her eye sockets burning with a sore, stinging pain, yet she stubbornly refused to let a single tear wet them.
📱 "Xiao Yu, you..."
"Brother Yang, when you first discovered Chen Ya's betrayal, did your heart ache?"
Her words were completely disjointed from context.
Yet he maintained his patience and answered, "At first, yes. I loved her and gave her so much, only to be suddenly betrayed. Xiao Yu, no one can remain calm in that situation."
"Then did you want to strip away everything she had, ruin her reputation, and go on to love her enemy instead?"
"Xiao Yu!"
"I want an answer."
Her phone was clutched so tightly in her hand that it creaked and groaned!
Yang Chen strode to the bedside, attempting to pry open her self-destructively clenched fingers.
"Let go!"
"Answer me!"
"I wouldn't! No matter how much you hate someone you once loved, you could never be that cruel—unless you never truly loved them in the first place!"
Clatter.
The phone shattered against the floor, its screen turning pitch black as it was completely destroyed.
After a moment of silence,
Yang Chen weighed his words repeatedly before bringing up another matter, "Lulu... she has gone missing..."
