"Little Orange, are you alright? You should really go see a doctor looking like that!"

In less than twenty minutes, Jiang Cheng had suffered from both bleeding eyes and a nosebleed. Wen Yao was genuinely panicked, hurriedly pulling out tissues to stop the blood from his nose. Little did she know, both incidents were entirely her fault! The first had been eye strain from dealing with that green vapor, but this time, it was purely because Wen Yao was too well-endowed, too fair, and too provocative. She had sent Jiang Cheng’s blood pressure soaring, causing the nosebleed.

Jiang Cheng hurriedly took the tissues, pressed them to his nose, and stole a glance away like a thief, shifting his gaze elsewhere—he didn't dare look at the young woman again. This girl was too stimulating! He was afraid he’d become anemic if he looked for one second longer.

Embarrassed, Jiang Cheng coughed a few times and said, "I'm—I'm fine, just a bit of internal heat! It'll pass in a moment!"

Wen Yao looked at the strange, twitchy Jiang Cheng with suspicion, confused by his behavior.

Jiang Cheng pulled his thoughts together and focused his gaze on the wall near the door. He wanted to test his clairvoyance. He exerted his vision, staring fixedly at the large white wall. Three seconds later, the wall's surface began to recede, followed by the bricks. In less than a second, the thick white wall vanished completely. The empty hallway instantly appeared before his eyes.

Jiang Cheng was thrilled. His eyes had truly evolved. He didn't stop there; he proceeded to look through the wall of 401 across the hall. Another white wall dissolved instantly. Simultaneously, two pale, intertwined bodies on the living room sofa flashed into his view.

Damn! This Old Wang next door, doing exercises in the morning? He’s already over fifty; he’s got some wild taste!

Jiang Cheng hurriedly withdrew his focus, thinking to himself that it was an eyesore. Although he had stumbled upon Old Wang’s private business, he didn't dwell on it. Instead, his heart pounded with immense excitement. Before, he could only see the value of objects, but now, he could actually see through them. Was this the result of that dark brown pill? But what exactly was that pill? And why did that woman grant him these ocular abilities? She said she would come looking for him in three months—could she be planning to use him for something?

After a moment of contemplation, Jiang Cheng sighed. *Let things take their course.*

Suddenly, a thought occurred to him. He immediately picked up the black stone hanging around his neck. He focused his vision, and sure enough, the number "3.8 million" reappeared on the stone. Next, the black stone grew larger and larger in his sight, and the previously imperceptible red patterns became incredibly clear. His vision had indeed improved.

The red patterns he couldn't see before now looked like strange, ghostly symbols, like some form of writing he couldn't decipher. He rushed to his sister Jiang Ling’s room, grabbed a pen and a sheet of white paper from the desk, and carefully sketched out every symbol he saw.

It wasn't just a simple drawing; Jiang Cheng suddenly realized that although his drawing talent was typically at a kindergarten level—the kind that would make a goddess look like a stick figure—now, he could replicate those strange symbols perfectly, just like a printer. Looking at the sixteen distinct symbols on the white paper, he was dumbfounded. Even he was shocked by his current artistic ability.

What was going on? Could this be a new effect the pill had brought to his body? Jiang Cheng couldn't help but feel excited.

Wen Yao couldn't help but follow him in, seeing Jiang Cheng drawing something on his black stone. She walked over out of curiosity to take a look, only to find sixteen ghostly symbols on the paper. Not knowing what they were, she was filled with questions.

"Jiang Cheng, are you okay? Are you playing with ghost writing on this stone? What is this you’ve drawn?"

Jiang Cheng rolled his eyes at Wen Yao but didn't say much, simply folding the paper and tucking it into his pocket. He didn't know what it was either, so how could he explain it? Let it be "ghost writing" then! However, Jiang Cheng had a vague hunch that these sixteen strange symbols might have something to do with stealing luck. He had seen movies about Master Ying; when the Maoshan Sect caught ghosts or killed zombies, they would draw charms on yellow paper with cinnabar. He guessed that these sixteen symbols likely functioned similarly to the talismans in the movies!

"Oh no, I'm going to be late!"

Suddenly, a cry of alarm came from the room next door, followed by the sound of chaotic, hurried footsteps. Before long, Shen Sining rushed out from the room, makeup undone and clothes disheveled. As she opened the door, she didn't forget to shout to Jiang Cheng, "Brother Orange, I'm going to be late, I'm off to work!"

Watching the hurried Shen Sining, Jiang Cheng couldn't help but find it amusing. This young girl had earned five million last night, yet she was still thinking about work. If he had earned five million, he would have thrown his resignation in his boss’s face the very next day. Come to think of it, since Shen Sining was best friends with Murong Xue, her family must be quite wealthy. She could be considered a rich young lady. Poor people yearned for overnight wealth so they wouldn't have to work, yet the rich were still thinking about working diligently and bumming meals.

"I really don't understand the mindset of the wealthy," Jiang Cheng sighed.

He looked through the wall and saw Murong Xue sprawled out across his bed, sleeping like a log. It’s infuriating how people compare to one another. Both were rich daughters; look at how diligent and active Shen Sining was, and then look at Murong Xue, who only knew how to be lazy. Why was there such a huge difference? He had originally intended to wake Murong Xue up, but after a moment’s thought, he smirked and decided against it. Let her sleep!

Having one less tag-along was a relief.

"Wen Yao, I'm heading out. Don't worry about Murong Xue; she'll probably sleep until tomorrow!" Jiang Cheng said as he opened the door.

Wen Yao was baffled. "Little Orange, what do you mean? Sleep until tomorrow?"

Jiang Cheng smiled. "She has this condition; she usually sleeps for a long time. Just ignore her! You do whatever you need to do!"

Wen Yao pouted, looking discouraged. "What else can I do? No roles to film, so I'm just stuck at home!"

"Don't worry, go try your luck at Hengdian again. Maybe some director will be blind enough to cast you as the lead!" Jiang Cheng patted Wen Yao’s shoulder with a knowing look. Only he knew that without that black stone, Wen Yao’s career was destined to skyrocket. It was just a matter of time.

Wen Yao shook her head. "Little Orange, don't try to comfort—"

*Ding, ding, ding...*

Before Wen Yao could finish her complaint, her phone rang.

"Hello? Yes, who is this?"

A deep, middle-aged man’s voice came from the other end. "Hello, this is Zhang Shucheng. Is this Ms. Wen Yao? I am currently preparing to film a major Xianxia production at Hengdian. I think your appearance is a perfect fit for the lead role. I wonder if Ms. Wen Yao would be interested in coming to the set for an audition?"

Upon hearing this, Wen Yao was stunned. It took her a long moment to react. "Really? Director Zhang, I... I'll head to Hengdian immediately! Let's discuss the details!"

After hanging up, Wen Yao lunged into Jiang Cheng’s arms like a little koala, rubbing against him. "Little Orange, Director Zhang! It was Director Zhang who called me, and it’s for the lead role! Oh my god! Little Orange, I'm so happy!"

Jiang Cheng was genuinely happy for her, but in this situation, he didn't dare move a muscle—this was too provocative! He couldn't help but tease, "Didn't I tell you? Maybe some director would be blind enough? Look, 'Blind Zhang' called, didn't he? Go on, it’s a rare opportunity!"

Wen Yao hurriedly released Jiang Cheng and dashed into her room to pack without another word. Watching her busy back, Jiang Cheng smiled contentedly and stepped out the door.

...

Hengdian, a large hospital near the film studio.

In a ward in the inpatient department, Chen Tong lay on the hospital bed, cursing into her phone. "Director Zhang, you're replacing the lead actress? What does this mean?"

"Xiao Tong, I have no choice! You injured your leg while on a wire harness, and it’ll take a hundred days to heal. The investors are pushing for progress. You know, they’ve invested nearly three hundred million in this major Xianxia project. How could a small director like me afford to delay it? I begged the investors for a long time, I nearly knelt to them, but they just wouldn't agree to wait for you! I have no choice but to replace you!"

Chen Tong’s eyes were bloodshot. She wanted to curse more, but held back. It was her own bad luck. With Zhang Shucheng putting it that way, if she kept making a scene, she would seem unreasonable. Suppressing her rage, she forced a smile. "Fine, Director Zhang, it’s true I have some responsibility here. Let's just leave it at that! Once my leg heals, if there’s a good role, you must keep me in mind!"

"Of course, of course! Xiao Tong, just focus on your recovery. If there’s a good project, I’ll definitely come to you!"

After hanging up, Zhang Shucheng spat toward the phone. "Bah! Who does she think she is? Looks like an extra, and I don't know what kind of blind luck she had to land several big productions right after graduation, thinking she's something special! Were those directors blind before?"
