Chapter 21: A First Taste of the Splendid Life of a CEO
Did Chen Xi misunderstand the nature of the services provided? She seemed shy, but certainly not angry or opposed to the idea.
Yang Chen quickly clarified, "Work services, I mean work services. You don't need to provide anything else."
Chen Xi giggled, waved her hand, and turned to run off.
"Slow down! If you trip and get hurt, it won't count as a workplace injury," Yang Chen teased.
Chen Xi stopped, looked back with a smile, and said, "You're annoying! Hurry back, drive slowly, and stay safe."
Yang Chen smiled as he got into his car and drove back to the villa, where five investment consultants were waiting at the entrance, bags and suitcases in hand, looking rather disgruntled.
Yang Chen leaned out the window and said with a smile, "Good evening, ladies. Sorry for the delay; something came up on the road."
Zhao Jing pointed at her watch. "Big brother, you call this a 'little delay'? I called you at eight o'clock, and you said you were eating and would be back right after. I rushed over, and now it's nearly midnight and you’re just getting here."
Yang Chen opened the electronic gate and pulled the car into the garage. The five consultants lugged their bags and suitcases inside, still looking miffed.
Yang Chen walked over and said, "That scumbag Sun Changying had people try to ambush me. Luckily, I’m quick on my feet, or I would’ve been done for. Anyone else facing over twenty people would have been finished."
"Over twenty? Do you think you’re Bruce Lee?" Huang Wei questioned.
"Tch, believe what you want. I’m going to take a shower. You ladies get ready—once I’m out, I want to see you all dancing in black silk stockings," Yang Chen said.
"What? It’s midnight, and you still want to watch a dance?" Gao Ya asked.
"Yes, is there a problem? I work so hard every day; is it so wrong to want to watch some suggestive dancing?" Yang Chen retorted.
Working less than half an hour a day—hard work?
Huang Wei gave a mischievous smile. "Are you sure you’ll be able to sleep after watching that now?"
Yang Chen laughed heartily. "Do you think my years of experience since my teens were for nothing? Bring it on!"
The five investment consultants were speechless, but they knew that a bet is a bet. Since they had lost, they had to honor their promise. If they had to dance, they would dance.
While Yang Chen went to shower, the five consultants grumbled about him lacking gentlemanly manners for not helping with their luggage, then dragged their bags inside to pick their rooms. Wang Sihai had previously kept a performance troupe; whenever he felt like it, he would invite the performers over and let them stay if it got too late. Consequently, the villa had plenty of space—three floors above ground and one basement, totaling 16 rooms.
Wang Sihai had truly lived a life worth living; even if he were caught, he had no regrets. The five consultants tacitly chose rooms close to Yang Chen’s, making it easier to find him if needed. After dropping off their luggage, they hurriedly opened their suitcases and changed into the black silk stockings they had just purchased.
When Yang Chen emerged from his shower, his gaze was instantly drawn to the five consultants in the hallway, now dressed in their "battle gear."
The five consultants bowed together with smiles. "Good evening, Chairman Yang."
"Heh heh..." Yang Chen couldn't help but laugh. He never dreamed that the beauties in black silk he used to only see on TikTok would be standing right in front of him. He was finally getting a taste of Wang Sihai’s luxurious lifestyle.
Yang Chen straightened his expression and nodded solemnly. "Right
