"Is it dead?" Andrew asked with curiosity. "Damn, with all our firepower, we still weren't as effective as the two of you. Couldn't you have killed it sooner?"

"Well, I only just learned from Mingchuan that this mech had hidden features," Enlt replied helplessly. "As for why we acted only after coming here, I really don’t know."

"We came here because I needed enough height to strike down the giant," Mingchuan explained. "It wasn’t possible at the sports arena simply because we couldn’t reach such a height. After all, we’re just ordinary people with an extra set of armor."

"Then how did you know its neck was the weak spot?"

"That…"

"I told him," someone interrupted casually. "By the way, I’m Tyren, the one who welcomed you this morning."

"Tyren, the scientist? If you noticed that while observing our attacks on the giant, that makes sense."

"Alright, the rest is up to the logistics division. You should return to London, and I’ll teach you a few other things while you’re there."

"So, the way Mingchuan just used Eagle Eye—was that your teaching too, Tyren?"

"No, not exactly. Besides, the new mech is called Windeye, not Eagle Eye. No need to say more—just head back."

After returning to London, the operations department revised the battle plan. The original Mediterranean landing was scrapped in favor of Mingchuan’s team’s successful approach: the Turkish Military District’s forces would advance directly from Turkey into the Arab and Israeli Military Districts in coordination, while the giant entrenched on Crete would be left to the units stationed on Malta to eliminate.

"Alright, let’s begin training with the new mechs," Tylen announced at the London training grounds, awaiting the start of drills. "Lesson one is to understand your mechs, beginning with our very first model—the Knight Mech. The Knight is designed for close combat, so it’s lacking in other areas. The second-level Knight comes in three variants. The Light Knight compensates for shortcomings in speed and agility with its lighter mass, enhancing its jumping ability, so leaping over a three-meter-high wall is no problem."

"Next is the Heavy Knight, which is equipped with a shield to make up for defensive weaknesses. Its material can withstand venomous sprays and absorb extremely powerful impacts. Tests have shown the shield can block a heavy strike from the Crusher, as well as Windeye’s armor-piercing rounds—not to mention attacks from other mechs. There is one way to break the shield: a direct blow from a Dragon Knight’s greatsword will shatter it, though that shouldn’t be necessary. As for the greatsword itself, you two Dragon Knights already know how to use it, so I won’t elaborate."

"At first, since we hadn’t yet found suitable bullets to deal with Satan, we developed this pure close-combat mech—close quarters are always the most effective solution. Later, our tests showed that 9mm and 11.82mm rounds were fairly effective against Satan. With a vast supply of 9mm rounds, we invented the Warwolf Mech; nonetheless, because close combat was still essential, we kept the Knight Mech and added a short blade to the Warwolf. This time, we’ve also reinforced the Knight Mech. As a product of the ‘Dynasty Guardians,’ the Knight variant will follow the model of ancient knightly orders. Our other divisions on the front lines have adopted this as well, though I’m not sure if you’ll agree with this proposal."

"I don’t agree," Wenxin declared unhappily, hugging Mingchuan tightly. "I don’t want to be separated from him." Immediately, Joey did the same, clinging to Enlt in silent protest.

"Alright, let’s continue the lesson. Next up is the Warwolf…"

Don’t look at me—Knight Mech—I haven’t touched my computer all day and have only written using my phone; it’s really a hassle. The next few chapters will mostly be introductions to the mechs, and the next battle won’t happen until around chapter thirty. You can wait until August 14th, or check out my 'Prey of the Alien Continent.' I look forward to your readership!
