"Enlt, are you all right?" Mingchuan and the others hurried back to the landing site.

"Just some scratches, nothing serious," Enlt replied.

"Looks like the cleanup is almost done!" Joey walked straight over to Enlt and hugged him.

"Joey, don't act like this during a battle. Try to behave," Enlt said.

"Is there even a battle left?" At that moment, a huge noise from the bridge caught their attention.

"Oh dear, sounds like there's another fight," Mingchuan said in a playful tone.

"Could you not? That's disgusting, doesn't sound like a guy at all!" Colt complained again...

"Alright, let's fight!" Mingchuan dashed ahead, leading the charge.

"What? What's going on? So fast!" Enlt saw Mingchuan running towards the bridge and followed, the others quickly matching their pace.

When they arrived, Satan had already taken half the bridge.

"If the other half falls, everything will be ruined!" Mingchuan drew his sword and joined the defense of the bridge.

"Damn it, why are there so many? Are these mass-produced?" Bart said.

"Just like the one we saw on Crete Island."

"It could be, maybe there's one here too," Enlt answered.

"What are you talking about? Mass production? Crete Island? Are you saying that when you fought on Crete, you found a factory producing Satans?" Mingchuan deduced.

"That's right. We saw it when we were on a mission there half a month ago. We destroyed it and reported the situation, but the higher-ups weren't sure if it was an isolated case."

"Where did you see it?"

"In Chania. It's the government seat of Crete, and the Cretan Giant is there. The production base is gone, but the giant survived. Unfortunately, we still have no way to deal with it."

"Let's leave that for later. Focus on the present. If we fail the mission, we'll all be punished," Colt said, uninterested in the discussion, seemingly obsessed with slaughter, perhaps due to the previous incident.

"Winchester, come in," Mingchuan began calling Winchester.

"Copy, Captain. What are your orders?" Winchester replied seriously.

"How's the cleanup over there?"

"Already done, Captain!"

"Good, we need support. Can you help?"

"Don't worry, Captain. To defend the bridge, I've already requested reinforcements from base. The Guardians will arrive soon."

"We're holding out. For temporary support, I've assigned your unit as the long-range mecha group. Give us cover with your guns."

"Understood, Captain." Just as Winchester finished, gunfire rang out from his side, and the Satans on the outskirts were struck down.

"Alright, let's hold out a little longer. Reinforcements from base will be here soon."

"Not bad, Captain Mingchuan. Looks like your team is pretty efficient! Did you hear that, members of Wind Squad Group B? Follow Thunder Squad's example and provide long-range support!" Instantly, beams from heavy cannons scorched the air, clearing a line of Satans.

After a while, Mingchuan and the others could barely hold the line. Suddenly, they heard the sound of the bridge collapsing.

"What? Did we fail? Damn it!" Colt shouted. Mingchuan glanced back—the bridge was falling, and on the other side were several familiar figures.

"Alright everyone, clear out! There's a good show coming..."

--Aside--

A bit late this time, but it's fine.

I'm also working on "Prey." I hadn't realized it shared a title with another novel, which is quite a headache!

"Prey: The Otherworldly Continent" is in progress. It's... how should I put it? Similar to Conan's plot, I guess.

Completing main missions while clearing monsters from side quests. But it seems there are more female supporting characters.
