Chapter Fifteen: Operation "Storm"—The First Deployment of Storm
“All right, senior, let’s hear your thoughts first.” Mingchuan sat down calmly, handing the map to Enelt.
“Me? Very well. In Europe, the Black Sea Strait is of great military and strategic importance for transportation. For the sake of economic development, we Europeans built two major harbors here. They are located at the northern and southern entrances to the Sea of Marmara. We are attacking the northern port. In the past, our relationship with the New China Pact Alliance wasn’t good, so that area became a militarized economic zone. Now, however, it’s been occupied by the Satans. Fortunately, they’re not very bright, otherwise we’d be doomed.”
“Could you get to the point? Enough rambling,” Colt interrupted impatiently.
“All right. There are currently two large bridges there, with a verification zone between them. We can’t cross directly, so we need a team to go across to the other side, retrieve, and bind the verification. For fairness, Bart, Joey, and I will parachute with three members of your team to the control room on the other side to bind the verification. The rest will clear out the Satans near the base and obtain verification. Once both sides are bound, our mission is essentially complete.”
“Sounds pretty straightforward! I’ll go with you. Any other volunteers?” Mingchuan turned to his teammates, hoping someone would step forward.
“I’ll go with you! Since we’re from the same country, I need someone to look after me!” Wenxin stood up and walked to Mingchuan’s side.
“Looks like I’ll join you too. I can’t let you take all the credit,” Colt added, rising to his feet.
“All right, our team is set. We’ll go over the details on the plane. As for the rest, let’s each appoint a commander to lead the teams. Ours will be Tom.”
“Very well, as for our side…” Mingchuan paused to think. “Winchester, you seem quite levelheaded. Why don’t you give it a try?”
“Yes, Captain. I’ll follow your orders,” Winchester replied calmly.
“All right, this operation is called ‘Storm.’ We must be as fierce as the storm and as swift as lightning,” Mingchuan and Enelt declared in unison.
“Seems we’re in sync! Let’s move out!”
“We are approaching the destination. Prepare for airdrop,” the artificial intelligence prompted.
“Below us is the Satans’ gathering area. Once we complete our task, we only need to hold out until the G380 Guardians are deployed at the base,” Enelt gave a brief speech, then shouted, “Charge!”
Leading the way, Enelt parachuted down, followed one after another by Mingchuan and the others.
But just before landing, Mingchuan shed his parachute pack and activated his mecha.
“Mingchuan, are you crazy? There’s still fifteen meters to go!” Wenxin shouted. Yet Mingchuan paid no attention. Landing in a free-fall, within seconds he was surrounded by a mob of Satans.
He had anticipated this, however. With a swift draw and spin of his blade, a group of Satans fell instantly. The remaining enemies, seeing this, did not dare to approach.
The rest of the team, realizing the danger, jettisoned their packs before their toes even touched the ground, activating their mecha to prepare for defense.
“Not bad, Mingchuan. You actually predicted we’d be surrounded the moment we landed.” Enelt placed a hand on Mingchuan’s shoulder. “Looks like you’re quite experienced.”
“It’s just from reading too many military texts—makes me extra cautious,” Mingchuan replied as he fought to carve a path through the enemy.
“Look, the customs gate is over there!” Bart shouted to Enelt.
“Got it!” Enelt responded. “Mingchuan, Bart and I will stay and hold off the Satans outside the gate. Your Thunder Squad will go in and bind the verification. We’re counting on you!”
“Understood, senior. Thunder member—Joey, with me. Let’s move!”

By the way, Knight, I noticed my old serials are still up on Zhulang. In fact, I haven’t written there in a long time (mainly because updating is a hassle). So if any readers know people still waiting for my updates on Zhulang, please direct them to Chuangshi. Thanks for your cooperation.
Much appreciated!
