Chapter 110: Treshi’s Dominance
"All hail, His Royal Highness Treshey Mistra!" "All hail His Royal Highness Treshey Mistra!" Throughout the hall, voices calling out to Prince Treshey rang continuously. With the Crown Prince’s return, many government officials loyal to him and the gathered crowd could not help but chant his name.
"Treshey... Mistra... Your Highness..." Yet amid the crowd, discordant murmurs quietly surfaced. The Prime Minister clenched his fists tightly, grinding his teeth in frustration.
"Why? Why has he returned... my plans..." The Prime Minister shook his head, a grim smile twisting his lips. "So what if he’s back? I refuse to believe this pampered Crown Prince can surpass Prince Quill and General Cranwell in military affairs! The military-political cabinet remains ours..." Clinging to this hope, the Prime Minister’s gaze fixed on Treshey, who stood at the very center of the public’s attention.
"All hail His Royal Highness Treshey Mistra!" Behind Treshey, host Phil Puss could not help but kneel on one knee and bow in salute. As Treshey turned around, Quill and Charlie approached from the left and right.
"Brother!" "Brother!" Both called out as Quill and Charlie each embraced one side of Treshey, who opened his arms to hold his two younger brothers.
"Sorry I’m late!" Treshey said softly. Though intended only for Quill and Charlie, the amplifier carried his voice so many in the audience heard it clearly.
"Brother, where have you been all this time?" Quill and Charlie were shocked to see their usually hidden elder brother appear. But Treshey shook his head. "I’ll explain later," he said, glancing at the other half of the hall. "Host, please continue! Don’t pause on my account!"
"Yes!" After Treshey took his seat, Phil Puss resumed his signature smile. "Ladies and gentlemen, according to the schedule, we should now enter the Q&A session. However, I’m sure many of you are curious why our Crown Prince is here and where he has been. May we ask His Highness to enlighten us?"
"With great pleasure!" Treshey nodded, resting his hands beneath his chin.
Question: "Everyone has surely heard of the Allied Port Incident ten years ago. Your Highness, was that event real?"
Answer: "It was indeed. Back then, Cole and I were studying abroad in Israel when the United Emirates forces launched an indiscriminate military strike without declaring war. Our school was attacked. The Emirates troops paid no heed to us being students or civilians, shooting at every target. However, their signal jammers only blocked Israeli channels, so I was able to send a distress signal and held out until the Allied Port fleet arrived to rescue us."
Question: "So, the Allied Port Incident was truly an attack by the United Emirates on Your Highness?"
Answer: "Exactly. I had already declared myself Crown Prince of the United Kingdom. But…" Treshey shrugged helplessly. "Their commander simply didn’t believe me, so I had no choice but to take them out."
Take them out... Hearing this, Phil Puss wiped a cold sweat. This prince was far too formidable! Despite being attacked, he turned the tables and eliminated the enemy.
Question: "Alright. Also, I’m curious why Your Highness is wearing Welsh military uniform instead of that of the United Kingdom?"
Answer: "Well, after all, I am Prince of Wales! But it wasn’t intentional—I just returned directly from the Eastern Alliance front and didn’t have time to change." Treshey brushed some lingering dust from his shoulder. Under the cameras, a faint tan stain was visible.
Question (puzzled): "Eastern Alliance front?"
Answer: "More precisely, the Kestan Kingdom front. The Satan Crisis is still unresolved! I can’t just enjoy life behind the lines, can I?"
Question: "Could you tell us about the frontlines? Though I understand it might be a military secret..."
Answer: "It’s not really a secret. Let me show you, Roger..."
"Yes!" Roger, standing nearby, silently tapped his tablet. With a hacker’s skill, the screen displayed the view from Roger’s device.
On the big screen, the city hall of the Kestan Kingdom was fully visible. At the edges, glimpses of battle suits appeared.
"Your Highness Treshey, what are our next orders?" An unfamiliar English voice came through the audio, clearly not Roger’s.
"Hold this position. Reinforcements arriving in the next phase." The camera tilted slightly, revealing several Eastern Alliance soldiers and their officer.
"Our reinforcements?"
"From Wales. Conserve ammunition—we don’t want to attract more Satan creatures elsewhere." Treshey checked his wrist device; the time neared seven o’clock.
"They’re here! Eastern Alliance, alert status!"
"Alert status!" Though the Eastern commander seemed confused, he immediately gave the order. At that moment, thunderous roars came from the sky as a dozen massive machines descended, bombarding the plaza before city hall in a coordinated assault.
"What is this…"
"Armor plating interception. We need to clear an entire area!" Drawing a long sword, Treshey activated dozens of mech shields. In an instant, the city hall park transformed into a steel fortress. Treshey leapt up, shouting, "Let the battle begin!"
"Haha! Seems a bit reckless, doesn’t it? But I don’t like doing things without confidence." Facing the screen showing himself, Treshey chuckled self-deprecatingly. "Let’s fast-forward the rest. Clearing the courtyard took me over half an hour."
What would be a fierce battle for others became a casual matter in Prince Treshey’s words.
"Your Highness Treshey, may I ask how you view the Satan Crisis?"
"...The Satan Crisis," Treshey paused thoughtfully at Phil’s question. "To be honest, it originated from my mentor, the former Royal Academy chief, Professor Titan. His biotechnological research aimed to bring immortality or at least eliminate the need to heal wounds. Unexpectedly, the Kestan Kingdom shot him down with depleted uranium missiles. According to Cole’s research, the uranium radiation combined with gamma rays altered the regenerative gene samples Titan was experimenting on, causing the current crisis."
"I initially wanted to negotiate politically with the Kestan Kingdom, but their collapse was so swift... The virus drives most people mad; only a few have natural immunity. Moreover, it affects many species, accelerating genetic evolution. What was meant to be a scientific breakthrough has become a catastrophe. I cannot accept this virus. Now, I hope the world can unite to fight this crisis. That is my stance, which I will formally declare at the United Nations assembly."
"The UN assembly only allows military-political cabinet officials to attend. Do you think you can win the upcoming military exercises?"
The question came from a noble in the audience, who was in fact a current cabinet member.
"Let me borrow a line from Cole," Treshey looked toward that direction. "With your outdated technology? Wake up! When you can fire an electromagnetic cannon barehanded, then come challenge me!"
